This may be a silly question but can you make cash deposits?

I know you can mail in deposits, but I don’t think I’d recommend mailing cash. However, if you have a local checking or savings account, you can link them and you could deposit your cash locally and do a transfer.

That’s correct — just make 3 Card purchases or Person2Person Payments (or any combo of the two) within 45 days of opening your account.

But…This is in post above “Use your Electric Orange debit card to make 3 signature (non-PIN) purchases within first 45 days.”
And, this is from the ING site “Open Electric Orange and make a total of 3 Card purchases or Person2Person Payments (or any combo of the two) within 45 days of account opening.”
Of course the site doesn’t make it any better because it just says card purchases, not pin or signature.
Best for us to each call on our new accounts to find out for sure so we don’t miss the generous bonus.
Gosh, I sure don’t know why I didn’t do this when it was $103, $50.00 is still better than nothing :)

Could any of the 3 required transactions be Bill Pay, or do they have to be purchases?
Also, can you have more than one account, say one for yearly bills and one for something else?

Bettye, I’m not really sure about the Bill Pay. You’d have to contact ING directly about that. I do know that you can have multiple savings accounts, but I believe you may only have one Electric Orange checking account.

You should be able to open it with as little as $1, but remember that you need enough to cover the three transactions you need to make to earn the bonus.

bummer. need to be able to qualify for overdraft protection… victims of sub-prime mortgage crisis that we are, this offer is not valid for me :(
Too bad you can’t get the account without the protection – I have never bounced a check or overdrawn my account in my life. oh well.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
