Improve Your Garden Giveaway: The Home Depot $100 Gift Card

July 12, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski

sweet-peppers-7-12-09Yes, those are my pretty little peppers! My garden went in late, so it’s just now starting to produce. Hopefully you’re already harvesting your own fresh, homegrown produce!

The Home Depot asked me to share some facts with my readers about their Garden Club, AND they’ve generously given me yet another $100 The Home Depot gift card to give away! The lucky winner will be able to get products to beef up their garden or to help out with any other project around the house.

  • Did you know that members of The Home Depot Garden Club can get their questions answered by experts? It’s true – if you can’t find the answer to your burning garden and lawncare question, you can ask an expert and expect a response within 24 hours.
  • The Home Depot Garden Club also provides valuable information about your region and updates on local gardening events online!
  • And members can expect to receive exclusive coupons and tips, and DIY advice on gardening, lawn care, landscaping and outdoor living projects.

I know I’ve been a happy subscriber for some time now, and the coupons that are sent out are an excellent value.

Want to win a $100 gift card to The Home Depot?

Check out The Home Depot Garden Club site, and then tell me what your favorite garden, lawncare, or DIY project is. If you want to go ahead and sign up for the club, even better!

Come look at my blog to see a picture of my flower garden…and yes we got all the flowers @ HomeDepot!!! My yard is tiny…but, that doesn’t mean you can use ALL your space. We also have a veggie garden that is 7′ x 40′ and runs along my drive way. USE all your space!!!

My favorite Home Depot project from the website is the DIY project for composting made easy. I have wanted to get started in composting, I dig their ideas.

I have been a member of the Home Depot Garden Club for a few years now and have to say it is one of the best things I’ve ever signed up for. I have received coupons for a few freebies as well as money off coupons that were all used for necessities around our hobby farm. We have recently been utilizing the DIY online tool for ideas to create an outdoor living space.

How to train a vine over an arbor interests me. I want to do this with a grape vine to shade an area near our car port.

My favorite DIY project is “Maintaining your Lawn Mower”. While this might sound strange to some as a favorite I am a widow and have no clue as to how to take care of things! This is a quick & simple to understand guide to taking care of the mower to insure a good running machine. I could really use a $100 to spend at Home Depot to get ready for the winter season (it’s never too early to start).

I like the build a ring toss idea for your backyard. What a great way to have games ready all the time for a nice day or while waiting for the grill to heat.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
