Improve Your Garden Giveaway: The Home Depot $100 Gift Card

July 12, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski

sweet-peppers-7-12-09Yes, those are my pretty little peppers! My garden went in late, so it’s just now starting to produce. Hopefully you’re already harvesting your own fresh, homegrown produce!

The Home Depot asked me to share some facts with my readers about their Garden Club, AND they’ve generously given me yet another $100 The Home Depot gift card to give away! The lucky winner will be able to get products to beef up their garden or to help out with any other project around the house.

  • Did you know that members of The Home Depot Garden Club can get their questions answered by experts? It’s true – if you can’t find the answer to your burning garden and lawncare question, you can ask an expert and expect a response within 24 hours.
  • The Home Depot Garden Club also provides valuable information about your region and updates on local gardening events online!
  • And members can expect to receive exclusive coupons and tips, and DIY advice on gardening, lawn care, landscaping and outdoor living projects.

I know I’ve been a happy subscriber for some time now, and the coupons that are sent out are an excellent value.

Want to win a $100 gift card to The Home Depot?

Check out The Home Depot Garden Club site, and then tell me what your favorite garden, lawncare, or DIY project is. If you want to go ahead and sign up for the club, even better!

I really love the Build a Bubble Fountain DIY Project. That would be great in the little patch of lawn by my back porch. I want to put in autumn flowers, and the fountain would be a great addition for my local birds too. :)

I went with the container garden this year. So far it seems to be working. My veggies are just starting to ripen.

I put in a raised garden bed and have been growing some produce in containers this year. I would use the gift card to add a tree or two to my yard. We lost some in the tornado on May 10th last year.

We have horrible crabgrass in our yard. My husband would love to have some lush green grass to have to mow. We would love to get some products to help make that happen.

I guess I would have to go with the Bubble Fountain. We are not DIYers at my house and that looked the easiest!

I live in California, and took out my entire front lawn last year! Replaced with drought resistant plants and bark….saving lots of $$ on watering this year!

I love the idea of a veggie garden that starts inside. I do NOT have a green thumb. I tend to kill everything so I would love a project that is as simple as the veggie garden sounds. I would definitely use the gift card to start that and improve our curb appeal since it looks like everybody’s front yard.

I love the serving cart project. It is compact yet has lots of room to put things on. I think the lower shelf is a terrific idea and having the towel rack on the side is great! I also think it’s an easy enough project that I could do : )

I just checked out the Home Depot website. I’ve thought about buying a compost barrel before because we don’t have trash service we just take our own trash to the dump and composting would cut down on the trash. But instead of buying a barrel, I could use some of their ideas to make one. They made it look easy! Great project ideas!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
