Do the cake mixes work for the promo since the brownie mix is all that’s pictured? I really hope so!

It says Duncan Hines products, so any product should work, Julie!

Thanks for the tip, Carrie. The cake mixes are probably a better deal for my family with all of the birthdays we have coming up, but that’s a great buy for anyone that likes Vienna Sausages!

I’ve read that is a coupon booklet worth $5 not an actual rebate check…could be wrong though.

If you are within the Publix region, the cake mixes are B1G1F right now. In GA, you do not have to buy an even number either- they are technically half off. So, I bought 5 cake mixes at 82-3 cents each. I used 5 .35 coupons that were doubled for 70cents off each box. Including tax on the pre-coupon amounts, I paid <= .88 for 5 cake mixes (can’t remember whether these are taxed at the 2% food or 6% rate)

At Ingles the DH cake mixes are on sale for $1 – use the .35 off coupon from 3/29SS doubled = .30 per box.

That’s right, LoriAnn. But you’re not actually getting $5 cash back. You’re getting $5 in savings to use on a future purchase, so likely it’s a coupon booklet of some sort.

Chris, in the far right sidebar under the Printable Coupons heading is a teal-colored widget that you can print coupons directly from. Sometimes it appears as just a Coupons.com ad though – not sure why.

I agree with the first post…. I found on dealseekingmom.com this:

“Armour Vienna Sausage $0.49 each after in-ad coupon
Buy five, spend $2.45 out of pocket and submit for this rebate: “Buy Five Items, get $5 in Savings Back”
FREE plus get $5 back in coupon savings!! (Thanks Marcia)”

It’s a great deal but, I don’t know of a recipe that involves vienna sausage.

Chris – if you’re not using Internet Explorer (or maybe one other browser) the widget might not work. It doesn’t work for me when I use Google Chrome as my browser, so I have to switch to IE when I want to print coupons. Hope that helps!

Duncan Hines cake mixes are also $1 at the Albertsons in the Dallas/Fort Worth area (not sure about the rest of the country). Time to stock up on cake mix! :)

I can’t believe no one else has asked this (that I have seen anywhere), but what exactly are the $5 in coupons for?? The same product that was submitted, so the Duncan Hines?? Would it be 5 $1 off coupons, 10 .50 off coupons, or what? Thank you :)

D, that’s a great question, but I’ve actually never seen the answer anywhere. I’ll see if I can email someone to find out exactly what we’ll receive.

Thanks, Tara! It would be interesting to know. As I think we all know, the website for the program just has the form on it and the little bit of fine print at the bottom doesn’t expand upon much. Also, no phone number there.

I got my cake mixes at Kroger during the 10 for $10 deal. Kroger triples my 35¢ coupon (up to the price of the product, three per transaction) which makes them free.

I have printed out my rebate form, but I’m not expecting much since it’s a coupon book, not a check. But hey, my cake mixes were already free so this is just a bonus either way!

Lucky all of you…… as a followup to my comments a few days ago.
Here in SW Michigan..few of your daily offers work. Mostly-our stores say “1 coupon per item”….so, its hard to get an item cheap or free. As an example–I had a 35 cent coupon for Hefty freezer bags. On the box was an orange 20 cent sticker saying “use now”. They told me I could use either the 20 sticker from the box OR just the 35 cent coupon. So, I’m confused how you all are getting to use 2 diff coupons on one item. Also, I had a $1 off on mustard–but the store had marked the every day price of .98 up to $1.49..making it far from free. Bummer

Joy, you can’t use a peelie with another manufacturer coupon because those are both manufacturer coupons. People that are using two coupons are using a store issued coupon along with a manufacturer coupon. For example, Target issues Target store coupons and you can pair these with a manufacturer coupon on the same item.

So…..I will visit Target and see how this works? I have a manufacturers coupon (printed from Smartsouce) for Buy 1 Easy Mac CUP–get one free. I also printed a Target coupon that says $1 off with the purchase of two Kraft Easy Bac meals. It “shows” a 4 pk, but doesn’t say you have to buy (2-4pks), it just says “purchase of two Kraft EM meals”. So, A) do I take 3 cups to the checkout–one being the buy one get one free, and then use the $1 coupon to pay for the remaining 2? B) OR, should I be able to take only 2 to the checkout–one of them being the free one, and then use the $1 coupon to pay for the remaining one…making them both free? In my neck of the woods…I’m guessing they will tell me “its says BUY (as in pay for 2), to use the $1 off, and then the 3rd one is the free.
OR, they will say you have to buy the 4pk (doesn’t say it-but shows it), and the 4 pks are priced higher than buying 4 single cups (at least for this week). Wish me luck?

It will probably vary by cashier, Joy. I don’t advocate using a BOGO manufacturer coupon along with a dollar/cents off manufacturer coupon on only two items; however, in this case you’re using a store coupon and a manufacturer coupon on two, so I think you’re okay to do that.

Has anyone received their rebate coupons yet? I just received some post cards in the mail saying that my submission was declined because they only offer one rebate offer per household. Does anyone have the original rebate form? I can’t find mine and I can’t find it online either.

I just received a card back today from them saying that my offer had been denied because I had already submitted this. ?? I submitted 2x only – not the entire 6 times even. Haven’t received 1st offer yet so hopefully those coupons will come. I’m thinking of calling and finding out what the problem is. Anyone else know?

I did not receive any coupons either. One thing I did figure out….The corner of the card says something like “Real Meal Offer” or something like that. The offer we were submitting is called ” Great Taste Big Savings Offer”. The card said you have 30 days to resubmit so I sent the cards in with a letter saying that a mistake was made when processed. We’ll see what happens.

I got the rejection postcards in the mail today too. I submitted four times and got 3 postcards back saying it’s limited to one. I do still have the original rebate form which clearly says limit 6 per household. If anyone finds out more about this, please post again.

Prudence, you are very right–the “real meal offer” was from March and the details of that offer can be read here.
