Giveaway: $100 Walmart Gift Card

November 28, 2008 by Tara Kuczykowski

If you were excited about my $50 Walmart gift card giveaway, I’m hoping you’ll be doubley excited about a $100 Walmart gift card!

That’s right – I’ve got a $100 gift card ready to send out to make one Deal Seeking Mom reader’s Christmas a little merrier, and I’ve been assured that this will definitely arrive in time for the holidays.

I’ll make entering easy for everyone!

Check out the new Walmart 2008 Holiday Gift Guide as well as the Walmart website and let me know what gifts you’d spend this cool $100 on.  I’d like to know what the item (or items) is, who it’s a gift for, and why you think it would knock their socks off this Christmas.  Maybe this will help give us some ideas for those hard-to-buy-for people we all know!

Every reader has three methods available to enter this contest. Choose one each of any combination of method one, two, or three for up to a total of 3 entries!!!

1. Leave a comment sharing what gifts you would purchase with this $100 gift card answering my questions above!

2. Subscribe to my feed via RSS or email and leave a separate comment letting me know you have done so. If you’re already a subscriber, simply leave a separate comment letting me know you’re already subscribed. Lovin’ my subscribers! You guys make this all possible.

3. Spread the word about this contest in some manner and come back and leave a link in a separate comment. If you have a blog, you can blog about it. But if you don’t have a blog, you’re not at a disadvantage. You could review and Stumble it. You could Twitter it. You could post about it in a forum. Use your imagination!

It is important that you leave a separate comment for each type of entry because each comment is equal to one entry. Sorry to harp on this, but it really is that important to tally and select the winner easily, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me simplify the process!

Prize:
1 $100 Walmart Gift Card

This giveaway ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Monday, December 1st. I’ll use Random.org to generate a number that corresponds with the winning comment number and post the winner on Tuesday, December 2nd. Good luck!

While you’re in a contest entering mood, don’t forget to check out the Giveaway Gathering for a variety of contests being hosted on Deal Seeking Mom readers’ blogs!

I would love to get an Elmo Live for my baby. She sings and dances each time he talks! I would also use the other money to buy canned goods for our local food bank. We choose a charity to donate to each year as part of my parents’ Christmas, and since this one is close to their hearts, I would use the remainder of the money with my coupons to get some great deals for them.

From the wish book I would put the gift card towards the Sony 7″ Digital Picture Frame for my inlaws. They live 6 hrs away and can’t get enough of their only grandson. If I were to buy from the Walmart website I would get clothes for the baby 9-12 months and a Philips Norelco 8240 Speed XL Electric Razon for my husband. He has nicked his poor face two many times from the cheap disposable ones. He never spends money on him self especially now that we have a new baby.

I would buy some really cute outfits for my 16 month old daughter, along with some Elmo and Dora the Explorer toys, and some dolls, since she really loves her babies. I would buy my 10 year old daughter a Net 10 cell phone that she has been really wanting, and a digital camera for my 13 year old daughter. This would make our Christmas one to remember.

If I were to win the Gift card the way I would spend it would be easy. My daughter who is now 21, the new mom of a 6mo precious baby boy AND a senior in college has been working 2 jobs and going to school for the past 4 months. (Yes just 8 weeks after giving birth).

With that 100 dollar card I would go on a nice splurg for her and get her the things she has neglected to get for herself (due to time and finances).

I would purchase some wonderful smelling bath oils, bubbles and salts for her so that should could enjoy a leisurely bath from time to time. I would also purchase some nice gormet coffee for her too (to help her stay awake on those late study nights.)

I would get her a nice comfy/sexy set of pj’s to slip into after a long day. Hey who says new moms cant be sexy. I would also get her some basic school supplies to help her financially that way since every penny counts.

This would truly be a blessing for her and actually really make her focus on herself and relazing a bit more.

I’d like to know what the item (or items) is, who it’s a gift for, and why you think it would knock their socks off this Christmas. Maybe this will help give us some ideas for those hard-to-buy-for people we all know!

If possible, I would probably purchase five $20 gift cards with the $100 to give to friends & family for Christmas. Everyone loves gift cards!

I would definitely put this toward a Wii, my son has this on the top of his list, however financially I’m thinking we won’t be able to pull this off, so this would be a HUGE help!!!

    Thanks for the great giveaway!!!

One thing I would definitely buy is for my son, naturally. The new Sonic Unleashed game for Wii came out after I had done all the shopping for him. Apparently, this is a ta die for for him so indeed, his socks would rock!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
