Giveaway: $100 Walmart Gift Card

November 28, 2008 by Tara Kuczykowski

If you were excited about my $50 Walmart gift card giveaway, I’m hoping you’ll be doubley excited about a $100 Walmart gift card!

That’s right – I’ve got a $100 gift card ready to send out to make one Deal Seeking Mom reader’s Christmas a little merrier, and I’ve been assured that this will definitely arrive in time for the holidays.

I’ll make entering easy for everyone!

Check out the new Walmart 2008 Holiday Gift Guide as well as the Walmart website and let me know what gifts you’d spend this cool $100 on.  I’d like to know what the item (or items) is, who it’s a gift for, and why you think it would knock their socks off this Christmas.  Maybe this will help give us some ideas for those hard-to-buy-for people we all know!

Every reader has three methods available to enter this contest. Choose one each of any combination of method one, two, or three for up to a total of 3 entries!!!

1. Leave a comment sharing what gifts you would purchase with this $100 gift card answering my questions above!

2. Subscribe to my feed via RSS or email and leave a separate comment letting me know you have done so. If you’re already a subscriber, simply leave a separate comment letting me know you’re already subscribed. Lovin’ my subscribers! You guys make this all possible.

3. Spread the word about this contest in some manner and come back and leave a link in a separate comment. If you have a blog, you can blog about it. But if you don’t have a blog, you’re not at a disadvantage. You could review and Stumble it. You could Twitter it. You could post about it in a forum. Use your imagination!

It is important that you leave a separate comment for each type of entry because each comment is equal to one entry. Sorry to harp on this, but it really is that important to tally and select the winner easily, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me simplify the process!

Prize:
1 $100 Walmart Gift Card

This giveaway ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Monday, December 1st. I’ll use Random.org to generate a number that corresponds with the winning comment number and post the winner on Tuesday, December 2nd. Good luck!

While you’re in a contest entering mood, don’t forget to check out the Giveaway Gathering for a variety of contests being hosted on Deal Seeking Mom readers’ blogs!

My mother is 82 yrs old and depends on her VCR to tape shows. This is her main form of entertainment. Unfortunately, her VCR does not have a digital tuner and will be obsolete soon. She also wants to learn how to use a DVD player, but this will take her some time to master. I would use the gift certificate to buy this:
    https://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5622734
A combination VCR/DVD player with a digital tuner. This would allow her to continue using a VCR (which she is familiar with) while having the opportunity to learn the DVD without feeling rushed to do so. These combination sets with a tuner are not in our price range right now, but the gift card would bring the price down into our price range. I know my mom would love it!

If I won it I would buy my grandmother some new pots and pans because she was cooking with them at Thanksgiving and they were in bad shape. If I had the money I would do it myself but I cannot. That would give me the perfect opportunity to do that and make her Christmas.

If I win the $100 Gift card I would let my daughter pick out some clothes for herself and use the card to purchase them. She has five children and very rarely buy anything new for herself. She always put the needs of the family before her own needs and wants.

I hope to use it to buy some of the Lego Star Wars kits my kids really want but I would not buy ordinarily due to their price. I hope to not use it to buy underwear and undershirts for the family, but sometimes that is the way it goes!!!

I would get the LeapFrog ClickStart My First Computer for my daughter who always wants to practice typing on our desktop, and the Vtech Tote & Go Laptop Plus for her little sister. And, for some healthy play outside, the Barbie Adjustable Quad Skates! They both love going to the park – those would be awesome to use there.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
