Gevalia: 3 Coffee (or Tea) Flavors for $3 + FREE Travel Mug

October 15, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 69 Comments

GevaliaI know I’ve posted this offer in the past, but I like to repost it from time to time because it really is a fantastic deal. Especially with the holidays coming up, this would be a great way to have some quality coffee or tea on hand for guests even if you’re not into them yourself.

Gevalia has a hot offer where you can buy 3 half-pound boxes of their gourmet coffee (or tea, but I’m a coffee lover) for just $3, including shipping. That’s just $1 per box!

Plus you’ll get a FREE Gevalia stainless steel travel coffee mug. I use these every day, traveling or not, because my kids always seem to spill my drinks otherwise.

Note that you will be enrolled in their autoship program, but you are under no obligation to accept future shipments. Once your initial 3/$3 order has shipped, you may cancel the autoshipment program by calling 1-800-GEVALIA.

I am curious about doing this, but it makes me nervous using my credit card. Has anyone out there done this offer and then canceled it, before they got charged more than just the initial $3.00?

I haven’t done this offer, but I have previously done two other similar offers through Gevalia. I simply called them and told them I wanted to cancel. Both times the customer service reps were very polite and cancelled my account as requested.

I did this offer the last time it was available and cancelled the day the shipment arrived. I simply cancelled online and had no problem. It was a great value for $3!

I did it and cancelled after the first $3 order arrived. There has been no problem with my credit card or anything.

Just an FYI, I would love to do this deal, but for some reason the site isn’t coming up as secure (i.e, https://….. – hyper text transfer protocol secured) when I enter my credit card. I decided not to put my number in… Anyway you can fix that? Thanks for the great offer… what a deal!

Don’t forget to sign in through ebates. You get a 5.00 credit on your account also. Makes a pretty sweet deal

Has anyone done this deal twice? Could I call and sign my husband up or something like that? I really liked the coffee (breakfast blend was my favorite of the 3 I tried – but all were good), but it was too darn expensive! I can’t justify spending that much for 1/2 lb. when for less I can get a whole lb. at the grocery store (and I buy the expensive kind!).

I’m also curious if I can do this more than once. Is it a “one per household” deal?

How can I do this deal thru ebates? I tried it but it’s giving me the membership deal for $14.95. Is there any other cash back site that I can sign up thru to get a better deal on this?

I tried this at home and at work. I cannot get the choice of coffees to come up and stay up. It always goes back to “select variants” and gives me to options to pull down.

Hey ladies, I’d like to point out that Gevalia is hoping that you’ll at least CONSIDER staying a member. Canceling the day you receive the promotional offer is kind of unfair to them, and not at all in keeping with the spirit/intent of their offer. Besides, they have really good coffee!

For the record, I really did consider staying with them. I was waiting to see the prices, as they are a bit elusive about them on the website. When I got my shipment it came with a booklet that showed the prices. While I certainly do not buy the cheapest coffee out there (a bit of a snob), their prices were still too high for me. The coffee was REALLY good, but not SO good that it was worth the extra cost to me right now. If I ever find myself in a better financial place than I am currently in, I will definitely consider re-starting my membership.

I also ordered this deal and LOVED the coffee! I called after I received my order to cancel the membership the ladt was polite, and when she asked why I was ending my membership I told her the coffee was too expensive. She thanked me and my membership was cancelled no problem. Maybe if they run specials I would buy the coffee because it is good. But between the price of the coffee and shipping I couldn’t justify spending that much!

I had the same problem at first, Donni, but I just got it to work! But first I had to create an account, then I went back to the link from Tara above, and it now works. Hope that helps you! :)

No worries with the credit card. I got the free mug with them, and tried Camano Island Coffee offer too – they offer free shipping (about the same value as a mug) and never had a problem.

Actually, I think I like Camano’s coffee a little better, but that’s because I’m one of those ‘organic’ geeks.

I’ve tried clicking on both links (the free mug & the 3 boxes for $3) and everytime I get an Internet Explorer error saying it can’t display the page. Is there a direct link to the website so I can take advantage of this offer??
    thanks!

Anyone know how to check the status of the order? Or do they send an e-mail when its been shipped? They didn’t require me to officially register (just had to enter name, address, credit card info) to take advantage of this offer, so even though the order was placed, I don’t actually have an account. Basically, I just wanna know when I should be canceling the auto-membership, so I don’t get billed for more.
