CVS Scenarios Week of 12/14/08

December 14, 2008 by Tara Kuczykowski 6 Comments

Admittedly the scenarios this week aren’t spectacular, but I think they serve as a wonderful example of how shopping at CVS is a great resource even for the light couponer.

Get two tubes of brand name toothpaste, 3 two-packs of bar soap, and a deodorant for just $3.47 or less if you have ECBs to start with!

Don’t forget to show off your scenarios in the Mr. Linky below!

Transaction #1 + CVS $5 Challenge Transaction

BUY 2 Colgate Total Advanced (4 oz.) at $2.99

USE (2) $1.50/1 Colgate printable

Out of Pocket $2.98 (FREE if you use your $3.00 in ECBs from last week!*)
ECBs earned $4.00
*Add a cheap filler item if you don’t want to lose $0.02 of your ECBs.

Transaction #2

BUY 3 Dove Soap (2 pk.) at $2.49

USE (3) $1/1 Dove Face Care Product, Exp. 1-25-09 (RP 11/2/08)

Out of Pocket $4.47 ($0.47 after ECBs from Transaction #1!)
ECBs earned $3.00

Transaction #3

BUY Right Guard, Soft & Dri, Dry Idea at $2.99

Out of Pocket $2.99 (FREE after ECBs from Transaction #2!*)
ECBs earned $2.00
*Add a cheap filler item if you don’t want to lose $0.01 of your ECBs.

Be sure to come back next week, and I’ll show you how to roll over that $2.00 in ECBs to get the most for you money!

Let’s share our best CVS Scenarios! Just link up your blog post via the Mr. Linky below.

To keep it neat, I suggest that you list your blog name and then describe your scenario in parentheses, ex. Deal Seeking Mom (Less than $6 OOP!). The only requirement is that you link directly to your scenarios. Links directly to your homepage will be deleted.

Holy cow this is the first time I have really followed or should I say tried to follow how to really use the ECB @ CVS, I went today and saved over half of my total cost. Granted I checked out like 5 times but hey whatever it takes..Thanks Deal Seeking Mom. :)

Way to go, Stacy! I’m pretty sure the cashiers are used to people doing multiple transactions, and they’ve always been very accomodating. I just make sure I allow myself plenty of time so that I can let others behind me go ahead of me between transactions if a line builds up.
