I don’t think the $1 off coupon will work because it’s valid on the 3-oz.+ sizes, and the size that’s on sale at CVS is 2.8 oz.

I didn’t realize that the coupon had a size on it and I used it today for the CVS $1.00 sale and it worked and I got two free boxes of cookies.

Tara, did your dispatch have the Red Plum insert today? I get 2 copies and neither had the Red Plum insert. I’m really annoyed!

I got the Redplum insert, but I didn’t get the General Mills insert. :(

I looked through about 6 papers at my Discount Drug Mart (in Hilliard) this morning, and all of them had ONLY the RedPlum insert and nothing else. I am getting pretty disgusted……the papers there are always missing inserts. I didn’t buy any….wasn’t worth it to me. I think I’m signing up for a home delivery.

Emily, I am actually signed up for home delivery and I still end up with missing inserts. The one week I was missing a Smartsource so I called the dispatch and the person I talked to claimed that they were short coupon inserts that weekend so that’s why some papers were missing some. HUH???? I then called my carrier and she said she’s has lots of extras so she dropped one off later in the week.

One time (before couponing), I was reading my Sunday paper and felt a little de ja vu when reading the ads. I looked closer at the dates and my entire ad/coupon insert was from a week or two prior! I called the paper, and they didn’t do anything for me. So if the paper carrier has extra, can we ask them to slip us in extra coupons in our mailbox every week? Where do the extra/leftovers go?

Well, this week when I called my carrier about not receiving any Red Plums she said she’ll drop some off for me today and she’ll stick in a couple extra coupon inserts for me. She said not to tell anybody because she could get in trouble. I would have loved to ask her to always stick in a acouple extra for me but I felt bad asking that if she could get in trouble. She said she doesn’t use the coupons herself. It just drives me crazy that she has extra coupons each week and they probably get trashed. so sad!

As Tara noted, the sale package (actually a box, not the larger bags) only has 7 cookies, so not such a good deal. I’ll save my coupons for the larger bags when on sale.

Milano cookies are the best to use for making delicious Halloween treats. You can just use the cookie as is, make a rectangle cake pan filled with pudding, cover with crunched up Oreo cookies . Take the Milano cookies and write with frosting gel pens cute little gravestone sayings like You Kill Me or whatever, then stick in the pudding and chill. Make sure the pudding was cold when you put it in though! :D

You can also take the Milano cookie and cover it in frosting beforehand to make it look less like the original cookie. Just get some frosting, add water slowly as you mix until it gets to a slightly runny consistency and dip the cookie. Chill until hard and then write on it and place cookie in pudding/Oreo mix.

That’s it, done with my fun lil’ craft, lol. We LOVE Halloween at my house! :D
