The Electasol deal is limit 1. There’s also a free Stayfree deal the same week…buy 2 @ $10, get $5 back. If you use the bogo coupon, it’s free after ECB!

I have a question about the limit on items. For example when something is on sale 4/$4.00 and the limit is five does that mean you can buy 20? Thanks!

Tracy, I went back and looked at the deal, and I think the scenario is wrong. You’ll need to purchase 5 boxes at $24.50, used 5 coupons to deduct $12.50, and then after the ECBs it’s like paying $0.50 ea.

Hillary, I’m pretty sure that you can only buy 5 Soy Joy bars. When they say 4/$4, it means that they are 1.00 each (It’s just kind of a sales tactic to get you to buy more). If the deal was buy 4 Soy Joy bars, get $4 ECBs and there was a limit of 5, then I think you could get 20 bars. Does that make sense?

Hillary – It sounds like the clerk who wrote the raincheck made a mistake. There’s a spot that says “quantity” and normally this means the maximum number of items you can purchase. I’m assuming your clerk wrote 4 on that line instead of 20. However, there’s no spot on the raincheck form (both the old form and the new form) to include the number of times you can repeat the deal, so the clerk should have written 20. Hopefully he wrote down the ECB event code so the manager can verify it, but just in case, I’d bring a copy of that week’s circular with you to the store.

Bianca – no, she should be able to buy 20. I actually bought 12 bars the week the deal was active and my receipt said I still hadn’t reached my limit. The limit is on the 4/$4 deal, not the individual bars themselves.

There is a limit of one deal on the Electrasol, so you can get a total of five free boxes. I just looked up the ad, and it says 20-ct. I’m assuming it will include the gel packs and tablets.
Also I just saw that every card holder will get a coupon for a free item when they make a purchase this week like last year. I think I got free aspirin, but I know there were several items.

Okay girls, I’m new to the CVS game. I’ve been practicing with easy scenarios for the past couple of weeks, and I’ve saved (even made) a hefty sum each week. Now, this Electrasol deal seems too good to pass up, and I’m suspecting I’ll have to pounce first and pounce fast before all the product flies off the shelves. But to what lengths do you go? Do I need to be waiting when the store opens in the morning? Visit a 24-hour location, stock my cart at 11pm and wait for the witching hour? Buy the items now, full price, and return them next week during the promotion only to purchase them again? I’ve thought of doing that, but I’m not sure that CVS would refund my full purchase price during a sale. Would it work? Is this practice frowned upon? Our stores get cleaned out pretty quickly. What’s a penny-pincher to do?

Pippi – I usually go shopping around midnight to snag the deals when they first start, but that’s also because I work late evenings doing tech support and get off work at 11:30pm on Saturdays. This probably isn’t a great option if you have a “normal” schedule. :) If your store doesn’t have the quantity you want to buy when you’re there, simply ask for a rain check. Just make sure to redeem your raincheck before the coupons expire.
