I did the tresemme deal today using 6 $1/1 coupons along with cvs $4 off $20 and somehow the cashier scanned one coupon to read $7.50 off! She didn’t know how to fix it so she voided the other 5 mfr coupons and left the 7.50 making it 1.50 mm!

I have two SS inserts from 4/19 and neither of them have an ACT coupon. I have been through both of them several times just to make sure I’m not crazy! Any ideas if this is a regional thing? I’m in NC.

The ad says “spend” $25 and get $10ECB. If by using coupons you on’t actually “spend” $25 do you still get the ECB’s by getting $25 worth of product?

Well, I just returned from my first CVS trip to take advantage of the Aveeno deal and use my $4/$20 coupon. I don’t know what I did wrong.

I bought 3 Positively Ageless products:
    2 @ $8.99
    1 @ $9.99
I used the $4.00 coupon, then the $10/3 coupon, in that order.

It says my subtotal is $13.97. Down at the bottom, it says :
Aveeno, Send 25, Get 10 EB
    Amount Toward This Reward $9.99
Amount Needed To Earn Reward $15.99

No ECBs printed at all! I was going to roll some over and do another transaction, but I got confused and frustrated and left. What did I do wrong? :-(

I don’t have the Act coupon either, invariably I never have all the coupons mentioned weekly—2 weeks ago I didn’t get the John Freida hair coupons, a couple months ago it was an M&Ms coupon—so I have figured that they MUST be regional. (I’m in TN). For Allison—this happened to me in November, I bought some chocolates and should have received ECBs, the manager checked me out that morning and he looked everything over and agreed. He suggested I call the number on the CVS card and give them the transaction number off the receipt and have them figure it out. I gave them about a day to make sure it was in their system and then called…they are EXTREMEly nice and the lady pulled up the receipt, looked over everything, apologized and told me to scan my card at the ECB kiosk the next time I was into CVS and it would give me my ECB…it worked. Try that. If they tell you something went wrong (which it looks correct from what you posted), I have taken my stuff back before and had it re-rung and then got my ECB….worth it!

    Allison,
From what you wrote it looks like you only got credit for the 1 product that you bought for 9.99. I am wondering if the other two that you bought were not “Positively Ageless” products? Just a thought.

I didn’t get the Act coupons either..so I suppose it was a regional thing. Have a great day all!

Rebecca – I will try to call them tomorrow and get it straight. Where are the ECB kiosks located?

Kim – I bought 2 Positively Ageless Cleaning Pads, and one Positively Ageless Daily Exfoliating Cleanser. I checked very carefully to make sure I did things right.

When I purchased the Bayer today, there was a tearpad of $1 coupons attached to the display so it was a $1 MM after ECBs!! It was one of those items that I didn’t “need” , but I’m glad I had it on my list. Also, I am sure it is one of those things that varies from store to store, but last week none of my ECBs printed out and the cashier was able to scan my card and type in the amount and voila!! I was good to go!

Our ECB kiosk is across from the checkout are at the front of the store but if you buy anything else and let them scan your CVS card, it spits out whatever ECBs are owed to you also.
I’m sure it will work out, CVS is easy to work with, I have called corporate office twice and both times they were great.

My friend and I dd the Aveeno deal yest. and we used the $10/3 and it worked fine.. we used the $4/20 also (although that coupon is expired) it is still a good deal…

Also the Crest toothpaste/mouthwash was a great catch… it is $2.88 get $2 ecb back making it .88cents and I had $1 coupon… making it better than FREE!!

Also for the Tresemme coupon if its printed in the landscape and its a big coupon do they take it… ????

Brenda– as for the Tresemme cpn, mine printed the whole sheet of paper (i just cut off top and bottom strip) and yes they still took all 6.

also, FYI the Aveeno deal allows you to get $10 EB as many times as you’d like. I bought much needed, but more expensive moisturizer and one $7 item and still used cpns and it printed a second $10 EB. Wish the $4/20 cpn was still good….

If you use Thermacare wraps, there is a good deal this week. They are 2 for $9.98 after ECBs. I found $1/1 peelies on the boxes, making them 2 for $7.98, which is a good deal.

    Allison,

Don’t know if this is the case, but at my store the only Postitively Ageless Aveeno (other than the $18 ones) that was part of the deal was the sun lotion on sale for $9. Not all of the Aveeno line was part of the deal…only the ones that were on that page of the ad. I did find a few thing marked at my store that I didn’t see in the ad, but you have to be careful. I even asked and they told me only the items with the tags marked as part of the deal would work. Like I said, in order to use the $10 coupon without buying the $18 items was to get the sun lotion (at my store anyway.) Maybe that is what happened. I do know the items you mentioned were NOT part of deal here in Illinois.

Tara the deal for Bayer is a money maker if you search the aisle at CVS for the $1.00 off any Bayer Heart product (which includes the Quick Release Crystals). I made a dollar on this purchase after ECB’s. I had to search for the coupon, it was actually next to the Heart Advantage Bayer Asprin. The Tresemme is also a great deal, 3 large bottles for $10.00 with an additional $5.00 in ECB’s. If you use three of the $1.00 coupons for the 24 hour care Tresemme, then you get three large bottles for only $2.00. Love it!
