I just got back from CVS: I scanned my card in the coupon machine and out came a coupon for $5 or $15- so i thought well maybe this is my coupon from just registering my card (about a month ago). So i get all my stuff together to make a good deal. While i’m in line the 3 people in front of me get the same coupon with their receipts… it is only good for 3 days, hope everyone else gets one too :)

I looked through both of my SS 10/11/09 (we have a local paper and a metro paper that sometimes have different coupons) and didn’t find the John Frieda coupons anywhere. :(

Jennifer, what do you mean you scanned your card in the coupon machine? Is that at a self check out? At CVS, I just give my card to the cashier.

    Katie-

Many CVS’s now have a scanner near the door with a red light on top that you can use to check an item’s price or scan your card to print coupons. These are in addition to any coupons you get when you have them scan it at the register. Unfortunately, the ones at the 2 CVS’s I usually go to are down about half the time.

While it’s pretty slow, in our area 12 packs of Coke are 4/$12. Pair this with the Nova Max and a $5/20 coupon, and you get the coke for 4/$7 plus the tax from the $9.99 Nova Max (MI is 6%tax, so for me it will be 4/$7.60 plus deposit)

Katie- I did scan my card at the price checker/coupon printer. That is where it gave me a $5 off $15 … am I the only one who got one? I dont think its my coupon for being new to CVS, i got that in an email today ($4 of $20)

I went to CVS and 2 employees said there is no Extra care bucks deal for John Frieda products. They also showed me the in-store ad and there is nowhere where it says that. It only shows a sales price for 2 for $10. the caption above where it says spend $10, get $5 ECBs applies to other items John Frieda not included. can someone please tell me where to look? I believe that was last weeks deal.

Norma, I had the same problem with the John Frieda. I actually bought the items and did not get the ECBs.

The John Frieda offer is from the Season To Save booklet. I believe this should be in effect everywhere.

Tara – so without the coupon, you cannot get the deal?

I’ve read many places that the ECBs in the Season To Save booklet were meant to begin on 11/15. Since CVS neglected to put this on the booklet, stores are manually printing the ECBs this week. I’m assuming you have to bring a copy of the Season To Save booklet with you in order to show your cashier the deal before they will print them for you, or simply wait until Sunday and they should be printing automatically then.

We don’t have price scanners in any of the CVS’s I go to. :( I’m glad y’all said something about it though, so I can check at other CVS’s, we have one on almost every busy intersection.
The cashier gave me the Season To Save book yesterday and I saw the john frieda ECB promo in it. there is also a card in the middle of the book that you can have scanned when you make a $20 purchase and it will give you $4 ECB.

Where do you get the KY lube for 15.99? At my store, it’s at least 19.99, and one of them is 29.99. That’s a lot of money for lube!
