Consumer Recalls: Snowblowers and Mowers + More

There have been several consumer recalls over the past couple of days that may affect Deal Seeking Mom readers. Please refer to the links included in each section for more details about the specific recalls:

Toro Snowblowers and Mowers

The Toro Company, of Bloomington, Minn. announced a voluntary recall of their Power Clear Snowblowers and Toro 20″ Recycler Mowers because the carburetors on both products develop fuel leaks and can ignite when exposed to an ignition source, posing a fire or burn hazard. For a complete list of model numbers affected, go here. The recalled snowblowers and mowers were sold at Toro Dealers in the United States and Canada from September 2009-March 2011.

Consumers should immediately stop using the products and contact a Toro Service Dealer for a free repair. For additional information, including the name of a dealer near you, contact Toro toll free at 877-738-4440 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CT, or visit the firm’s website.

Pancake and Biscuit, Yellow and Chocolate Cake Mix

The Raymond-Hadley Corp. of Spencer, NY is recalling some varieties of Better Batter brand baking mixes, because they may contain the undeclared allergen milk. For a complete list of UPCs, package sizes and “Best Before” dates, go here. Better Batter Pancake & Biscuit mixes and Yellow & Chocolate Cake mixes were distributed in the United States and Canada through retail stores, mail order, and direct delivery.

Consumers who have purchased Better Batter mixes listed above are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the manufacturer at 1-800-252-2220, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  • Elsie Grace’s Dry Food Products

Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.
