October 18, 2010 by 6 Comments

peasPhoto by Dave GunnThe Pictsweet Company of Bells, TN announced a voluntary recall of certain products containing frozen green peas after the company learned that some of the packages may contain glass fragments, which may cause injury if ingested.  Products subject to this recall were distributed to Kroger stores in the Southeast Unites States and Walmart stores throughout the United States with best buy dates between July 15 and July 21, 2010.  Go here for a complete list of recalled items.

Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

when i first heard about a “frozen food recalled because it contains shards of glass” as they pre-aired the story just before the news started last night I immediately thought “OMG, there really are shards o’ glass freeze pops” thanks truth.com advertisement lol Can’t imagine something this serious actually happening. They should’ve caught it right away,

Has anyone heard any detailed information about the Blue Buffalo dog food being recalled?

There was a small recall of certain Blue Buffalo lots. Because there are hundreds of recalls each month, I usually only post the larger ones. We did see this one, but most of the affected lots are long expired so we skipped this one. However, you can find full details here: https://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/ucm228986.htm

      Thanks!

Just to let you know, your photo is misleading. Pictsweet brand bags were not affected, only Kroger brand and Great Value brand.

The lots on the Blue Buffalo expire in 2011.
