Besides the traditional grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup…. my family loves it when I add some Velveeta to my traditional tuna casserole !!

    cooked elbow macaroni
small onion, diced (see my cooking hint below)
2 cans drained tuna in water
1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 soup can of milk
Velveeta (I usually cut off a hunk about 1.5″ thick then cut it into cubes before I add to the casserole)
1 small can French’s Fried Onions

Hint… after cutting my onion I usually add it to the water as I am cooking the macaroni – it makes the onions soft and avoids crunch onions in the casserole.
When noodles are cooked and drained – add everything except for the fried onions. Cook on stovetop until cheese is melted. Put into casserole dish then sprinkle fried onions on top. Bake 350 degrees until onions are browned. Enjoy !!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
