Earth month is winding down now, but I’ve got a huge giveaway that will help you maintain your green efforts long beyond just this month. Included in this giveaway are the following items:

I had the opportunity to try these products out myself, and I’ve been very pleased with all of them. I think of all of them, the Bissell Little Green Machine is my favorite because it makes cleaning up all of those little kid and pet messes so easy and convenient. The most surprising would be the White Cloud recycled paper towels and toilet paper. I was suprised by how soft they were!

Take shorter showers! In just a ten minute shower you waste over 25 gallons of water. Use cloth napkins instead of paper, use a reusable water bottle (this is frugal too as its estimated that $100 million dollars is spent on water bottles a year! yikes!)

We use lemon juice and white vinegar to clean my wood floors in a spray bottle we reuse. Recycle paper for paper mache crafts for the kids.

Share your too big plants by dividing them and giving them to a neighbor. Spreading the flowers. I am saving my dump some space by taking apart furniture before throwing. Some of the innards may be useable for other things. The wood joins the bonfire with grand children. The rest goes into the garbage but considerable less bulky than a couch. Of course being retired, I have time on my hands.
