I wonder how well-received these new text messages will be with BBW consumers? I’m a huge fan of texting, but don’t want to head down that road of promotional texts. Email is something I can check when I have time; texts are immediate notifications that stop me what I’m doing. I wonder if I’m the only one who feels like this?

I agree and think you have a very good point there, Shelby. If nothing else, I would be VERY selective about the companies that I choose to receive promotional texts from.

Yeah, me too. Some restaurants, like Moe’s, have food discounts if you are are part of their text club. I declined the option, because I like the option of filtering messages using e-mail. Texting from anyone at anytime would become a nuisance to me.

I know this i san old thread, but I signed up for it months ago. I’m not impressed. Nothing but promo stuff. Same ‘coupons’ as on line. Nothing to feel ‘special’ about!!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
