Back-to-School Giveaway: Wave LX Street Surfing Board

With an increased focus these days on getting kids on their feet and outside to play, I’m excited to tell you about today’s giveaway. The Wave LX (Light Xtreme) is a caster board that blends motions of surfing, snowboarding and skateboarding to produce the fast growing and popular sport of Street Surfing. If you think that sounds a little difficult, then I’d say you’re right. It is difficult to get the hang of it. However, once it clicks, it can make for hours of fun!

The Wave LX is intended for ages 5 and up, but I’d argue that a 5 year old would have a lot of difficulty in using this product. My 6 and 7 year olds have been trying this product all summer and are still trying to learn the motions. Though it’s challenging, they’ve enjoyed it. Of course, I recommend that your child wear a helmet and pads for added safety.

    My boys love to go to the park. Playing outside at a “sprinkler” park on a hot day is one of our favorites!

    I love taking the kids outside to play mostly in the yard, but sometimes the park, or our local elementary school, or McDonald’s play area. I have a 5 yr old with ADHD so hiking is almost out of the question, but my 7 yr old plays baseball and football so we enjoy cheering him on in the games together. They also love to go to their Papa’s pond and go fishing with him.

    We like to take advantage of the evening special at our local amusement park swimming pool/water slides. It’s cheap and fun!
