    I do backup my pictures into an external hard drive, one that I quickly outgrew owning a DSLR camera that takes gigantic sized pics. I have actually been shopping for another one in the last week… I say this would be perfect!

    Wow, great giveaway! This is something that we could really use. At least once a year one of our computers crashes and everything is lost. The only thing that means anything to me is pictures of my boys. Luckily I’ve been backing them up on disks, but last summer I forgot to and lost 3 whole months of pictures!

    Right now the only thing I back up is my photos and I put them on CD’s. With an 8 month old I’m starting to accumulate a lot of CD’s :-)

    I keep our family budget/finances on a spreadsheet on the computer and all of my recipes are stored in a word doc on the computer. I email them to myself every once in awhile, but that’s the only back up I have of these two and they would take FOREVER to re-create if I ever lost them.

    I have so much on there I can’t lose (I know, I should already be backing up!!). Photos, music, work documents, little bits of info that I saved as Word documents or Excel sheets.

    I use a backup drive now, but it’s getting pretty small. Ever since I bought a digital camera and camcorder, I wanted to make sure I didn’t lose all of the pics of the kids.

    About 2 months ago our computer crashed and we lost a lot of photos of my oldest child’s birth. (we had NO backup other than some CDs that we weren’t really keeping up to date) I was (and am) devastated about it….I’ve been wanting to set up some sort of backup but just haven’t had time (3 kids here! :o) We also now have a network of 2 computers so it sounds like this would be a great item to use on both!     I would backup….everything! I have saved all of the SD cards for our digital camera because that is the only “backup” I have of them.
    I seem to use up all of my computer time reading great sites like yours…and never get around to the important “housekeeping’ type stuff.

    I did look at external hard drives the other day…and most are so out of our current, very limited, budget…..to win one would be such a HUGE blessing!

    Wow!! Who wouldn’t benefit from a great product like this! We have a couple computers in our home and EVERYONE has precious pictures that would be devasting to lose! Lets face it, how many of our pictures do we actually have printed!! I know Walgreens have great prices for its members to print, but now I only print the ones I have a specific need for and the rest stay safely tucked away in a folder on my computer, years and years worth! Family trips, births, graduations, everyday life, and on and on! I need this to protect these from our grandchildren and their grandchildren!!! Thanks DSM! We love you!
