Back-to-School Giveaway: $100 in KIND Snacks!

August 11, 2010 by Deal Seeking Mom

Join me every day this week for Back-to-School Giveaways. I’ll be posting 5-day giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

As I’ve mentioned before, KIND Snacks have quickly become one of my favorite healthy snacks, and they’re especially great when I’m looking for a nutritious snack while I’m on the go.  The makers of KIND believe that food should never be processed to the point that you can no longer tell what it is, and all of their bars are made from wholesome all-natural ingredients you can see and pronounce.  With whole nuts and fruit held together with honey through a natural process that keeps them fresh, KIND snacks are packed full of flavor and have just the right amount of crunch!

KIND is a sponsor of the annual Great Kindness Challenge on August 14.

The Great Kindness Challenge is one day devoted to performing as many acts of kindness as possible. This year’s goal is to have over one million children participate with the hope that this day will inspire a lifelong commitment to service and kindness.

From sunup to sundown, children around the world will accomplish simple, kind deeds using The Great Kindness Challenge Checklist from Kids for Peace. Visit The Great Kindness Challenge for more information and to sign up to participate!

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win $100 in KIND Snacks!

To enter, tell me about a recent act of kindness or what your family will be doing for The Great Kindness Challenge!

I am a special education aide every Friday I bring a healthy snack to my kids for having a great week, so many do not eat properly and families don’t have enough money to provide treats. I also buy any needed clothing if they can not afford the essentials, jackets, socks, hats, mittens, school supplies.

A coworker doesn’t have a computer at home and isn’t computer savy at all. Our health insurance offers up to $300 cash back for completing a health profile online and watching informative slides and vidoes as well as taking different health related pledges. I helped her fill out her profile and fill out all the required info to get her cash back! She really needed it because she was moving out of an abusive situation and moving into her own apartment!

Story of kindness…My 9 year old son suprised me last week when I came home from work by having cleaned the house. This is the boy that I always have to battle to even clean his room. He had cleaned the living room, bathroom, his room and his baby sisters room. It was a very sweet act of kindness!!

We’ve been sick today… encouraging emails were about as “kind” as we got today… but hopefully we’ll be feeling better soon and have a belated chance to get in on helping others :)

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
