I tried to use the terra coupons Saturday and my local toys r us said they don’t take internet coupons anymore because there has been a high number of fake coupons.

Hope everyone else has better luck!

Yeah…My local Kroger will only take 1 internet coupon per transaction…Talk about a pain in the butt…They said it was due to a fake coupon going around for a free block of Velvetta…I don’t remember seeing that coupon at all on the web so I guess that means Tara and all the others who’s blogs I go to are doing a great job at weeding out the fake!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried Babies R Us and Toys R Us and neither one would take any of my internet coupons and they wouldn’t count baby bubble bath as a baby purchase for the $5 off $25, definitely won’t be back, totally rude an incompetent staff at both locations, bummer.

    I updated the link, Melissa.

That stinks, Sarah! Why wouldn’t baby bubble bath be considered a baby purchase? Sorry you had a bad experience.

Just FYI…the 2 for $2 is a TYPO in their ad….they are ringing up $2 off 2 bags, so they are $2.99 each -$1/1 mq = $1.99 BIG BUMMER, i thought I was getting free Terra chips! :(

U went to 5 different locations, everyone was confused. I am not sure how it is possible that employees are not given the ad to see for themselves and if it is a typo, not only should they honor it but they should change it if they are not going to. I finally got the last store to honor it because I took my printed ad in and they took the coupons. I got 2 bags FREE but I am certainly not impressed with their mistakes.

The same thing happened to me. I would not have paid that much for something that I don’t eat.

I went to ToyRUs in WA yesterday and they said it’s not $2 for 2. It’s you save $2 for 2. So the total amount is $1.99 per bag after $1 off internet coupon. NOT FREE….

Yes, Mini, it was a typo in their ad. I didn’t realize it was a typo when I posted this, but IMO, Babies R Us should have honored their mistake regardless.

I know this info is too late for the Terra Chips deal, but maybe this will help next time.

After reading multiple comments regarding the inconsistency online vs. in store, I printed the online ad and took it with me to the store. Sure enough, my store had the “Save $2 when you buy 2!” sign hanging by the chips. However, even this sign was vague. The manager explained that the chips were $2 each if you buy in increments of two. This makes sense, as the first bag rang up $3.99 and the second bag rang up $0.01, making then $2 each. However, I showed her the ad I had brought with me, and she had no problem honoring the $2 for $2 price. She simply overrode the price of the first bag to $1.99 with no hassle. I was very impressed with the whole experience, and realized just how important it is to print out what I see online.

BTW – the chips are DELICIOUS! :)
