Just a head’s up – my Ann Taylor Loft store would not accept this coupon. It has to be used at an Ann Taylor (not Loft). Unfortunately I don’t have one of those near me.

I’ve never shopped at Ann Taylor before. Does anyone know if there are items close to $20?

Suzy, I’m not sure what the problem it. It comes right up for me. Is anyone else having trouble with it displaying?

Modern Day Mom, you should definitely be able to find some cute accessories and basics around this price point.

For example, here’s a cute basic tee online for $24.

Has anybody used this, my Ann Taylor store just told me that its a fake coupon and they would not accept it. I plan on trying tomomrow at the one closer to my parents house in the city though… just wanted to find out. It wasnt a loft, it was a regular Ann Taylor.

Ann Taylor is very very pricy. For the twenty dollar coupon, you may be able to get a pair of pantyhose or underpants. Wish this was good for Ann Taylor Loft sale items as they have great deals.

laura that is really weird you can definately call corporate and complaint. I actually went back 3 times and used the coupon on two purse size perfumes that were exactly $20 and paid nothing at the end

I checked out the website and that stuff is EXPENSIVE!! A plain white tee was $24.00! yikes! I hope I can find the perfume! But the mall here is really “high class” so I wouldn’t be suprised if they dont take the coupon!! Fingers crossed ladies! :-)

no you can not use the coupon at ann taylor loft. Opt for the perfumes girls. They smell so good. I am planning to hit up a couple more stores today before the coupon expires

I’m so bummed that I can’t use this coupon. Maybe I can sweet talk my husband into going and getting me some perfume or a tee, but I doubt it.

The purse sized perfumes rang up $15 in Columbus, OH even though the sign said $10 so she adjusted them to $10 after I pointed it out to her……then when I tried to use the coupon she said they were on sale, even though the sign didn’t say ‘sale’. She waved her hand over to some racks and said pointedly ” the full-priced” tops are over there. Um… an overpriced top even with the coupon …no thanks! Today, I remembered why I hate boutiques especially in a busy mall. I hate mall shopping too….all those people wandering aimlessly around.

are you serious??? That really sucks. I literally went into the same store 4 times and go 8 purse sizes perfumes for free. The purse size perfumes are not on sale they are promotional and they do work. They had no problem, but yes I can say people at ann taylor are very snobby. I wish everyone luck

I tried to use the coupon today in Orange County, California and the woman told me I had to use it on an item that was priced higher than $20. I wanted a $19 tank top and she told me no so I walked out.

I used the coupon today, buying the $20 body lotion. The saleswoman was not happy, and kept reading the fine print of the coupon to see if there was a minimum purchase required. Then she called over a second saleswoman, who read the fine print aloud. Then SHE called over the manager. Eventually, though, I got the body lotion for free.

I had NO problem at the first store I went to. I got the $20 lotion completely FREE with NO TAX. But when I took my mom to another store, the cashier said we had to pay $1.27 tax for the lotion. And all the purse size perfumes were $25 dollars! YIKES! I cant believe you ladies found them for $10 dollars! Overall, I had fun paying $1.27 for two $40 worth of stuff! :-)

Today I tried to use my coupon at a different store and the sales lady was very rude and as I showed her the coupon and said that I wanted to get the two purse perfumes and basically was like you just want to get these for me and said I will ask my manager and the manager was like I get it you want to use your coupon and applied it and I was able to get my mom to get them. When my b/f tried to get it the lady was like the manager just did you a favor they are $25 and not $10 and ended up removing the promotional sign shortly after as they were getting bombared with people wanting the perfumes which is stupid, because if you put out a coupon you should honor it.

I have called corporate to file a complaint will keep you posted as to what happens

P.S. Tara if you would like a purse perfume I can definately mail you out one.

It is really weird I got them on friday and all of the sudden how did the prices on the perfumes change to $25 again? Go figure the put out a coupon that is $20 with no limit and than when people use it to do just that they change prices on their products so people will not be able to get the perfumes. weird. I guess I was really lucky that I ended up getting mine for free.

This is the problem – people like some posters above get GREEDY and use it way more than it’s intended, causing the sales clerks to get crabby, the managers to change signs, and eventually, corporate stops issuing this sort of deal. But of course the greedies think nothing of it, come here to complain, and then write to corporate. duh.

If companies were smart, they would limit coupons like this to one per person, take an ID and store your name in a database to make sure you don’t go back and use a printed coupon another 10 times. But nope, eventually they will just stop issuing them so regular customers lose out thanks to the GREEDIES. Thanks.

Rebecca – in all fairness, the coupon does not say limit one use per customer. I’m sure Loft never intended for people to use the coupon multiple times, but it’s up to the company issuing the coupons to create conditions under which those coupons should be used, and also to implement a system to track its use. I do agree that consumers should be more aware of how their actions affect everyone else. I was happy to have purchased a quality shirt for only $4 + tax, but I know I would have been disappointed and discouraged if I showed up to the store with a valid coupon only to have them turn it down. However, we can’t change everyone’s actions, so it would probably be best to press the company to implement better methods in general. It sounds like Loft doesn’t have much experience with coupons and bargain-hunters. I’m hoping Loft will use this as a valuable learning experience and continue to offer more coupons in the future.
