The Belgian truffles…I love all Aldi chocolate but the strawberry truffles were not my favorite. Just letting you know, they don’t have the ‘yogurt’ taste, and seem almost a little soapy to me.

I got discounted bread there the last few times I went and only paid .29 cents for white and .69 cents for whole wheat and oat bran! I also found some more special markdowns on fruit.

I was pretty unsure about shopping for produce at Aldi’s but I had read some good things on different blogs, so I decided to give it a try. I got a pineapple and 2 peppers. The pineapple was completely overripe when I cut into it, and the peppers went bad in just a few days (even in those little green bags that are supposed to keep produce for longer). I know they have a money back guarantee, but I had already thrown away my receipt and wasn’t feeling like going back in there. Do you all have good experiences with Aldi’s?

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
