Coke and Pepsi (I believe) are still $5 for 24 at WM, so that is still a better deal if you “need” pop.

Regarding Walgreen & their internet coupon policy, I was told two times in two different Walgreens that they do not accept internet coupons – at least in the Columbus Ohio area. I called customer service and was told otherwise and they should be redeemed. Well I just tried to use them on the dow cleaner & refill @ Pickerington location – and the manager said all Walgreens in central Ohio have been notified to no longer accept internet coupons – reason being that people are mass producing them and abusing their use. So who might have the official word on this.

Quick question – why is the Lindsay Olives mentioned as a “filler” if you have to use a manu Q? Is that an oversight or am I missing something?

Great list tonight, very comprehensive!! And THANKS for the opportunity to link-up as always! ;)

Good question, Angela! I’m guessing she put it there because it is a good filler item at the $0.99 price, but she also wanted to let people know that there’s a coupon available for it if you actually need to stock up on olives right now.

Hey Tara, Thanks for the great list as usual! Question, I noticed a Wag monthly deal for Hershey’s candy and one here, are they the same or is there an actual double dip on the RRs? If so, FREE chocolate, lol! :D Thanks so much! :D

I’m upset with Walgreens and their coke products. The ad was not clear and did not state that Dr. Pepper was not included. They made me feel stupid. I did not purchase the Dr. Pepper anyway after it did not come up on sale. The cashiers and the other customers looked at me like I was crazy. They will likely lose my business if this happens again. Has anyone else tried to get the Dr. Pepper in the 3/12 deal?

I wanted to let you know that there is a $5/off coupon for the Prilosec OTC (any size) in the USA Weekend section of the paper this week. (On the very last page). It would make it around $14.99 after rr and coupon. Just thought I would give you a heads up:)

The price for the Coke products after RR is $2.33. The Edy’s ice cream is $2/6 – $1/2 = $2.50 ea. If I’m wrong feel free to correct me. (I’ve been known to be wrong.)

I haven’t tried to get the DR. Pepper but it isn’t really a Coke product from what I understand. Maybe that is why it isn’t included? Sorry you couldn’t get the DP.

Just a word of caution to those new to shopping at Walgreens. They are not couponer and coupon friendly. Many will not let you purchase a $.99 item if you have a $1 coupon (and they refuse to adjust). Also, since they went to strictly RRs, they make their money by betting that you won’t be able to use the RRs within the timeframes allowed (only 2 weeks), so BE CAREFUL about stocking up on items you think will be free after RRs. They’re only free if you actually use the RRs to buy other stuff you need anyway (and that don’t generate another RR), and with all the restrictions attached to them (and there are a boatload!), and the surly attitude of most Walgreens cashiers, it’s hardly worth it to me anymore to shop there.

I just went to walgreen and purchased the kotex pads, after coupon and RR’s it was free and when the computer generated my RR it also generated a coupon for free always pads (18ct). This was a great deal since I got 2 products for free! dont know if its just my walgreens (NJ) or not that generates that coupon.

This petition is not against the new points/card program at Walgreens, but supports the programs being run together with NO alterations to Register Rewards. Any change in the Register Rewards program- in amount or items offered-is not supported by the below signed.

NO ROLLING with NEW CARD Program

WE DO NOT WANT THE NEW PROGRAM TO REPLACE REGISTER REWARDS.

Walgreens’s new program is in beta in select markets.

    How the beta program work:
You earn 300 points for every 90-day eligible prescription you fill. For all other items you earn 10 points for every $1 you spend.

    Meaning:
(2000 points for a $5.00 Walgreens gift certificate, 3000 points for Amazon and other gift cards, etc.)

*When we spend $1.99, it rounds down to 19 points NOT up to 20 . (According to Walgreens insider)
    Question about program
1.How do coupons affect the total spent? Theoretically, you should get points on the total *before* coupons, but we’ll have to test that out.

I, too got the free Always liners coupon (up to $5 and Walgreens price is more than that right now) when I bought the 50-count U by Kotex liners. YAY! Also, our Walgreens ads do not have Dr. Pepper included in the Coke sale. Is that a mistake, or just a regional sale? I was disappointed!

Hey Gloria. I’m sorry you had such a bad experience with your Wags store but I’m thinking the reason they wouldn’t allow Dr. Pepper as part of the deal is because it is not really a Coca-Cola product. I looked on Wikipedia to be sure and they definitely have a tangled history with Coke and Pepsi too but they are owned by Cadbury-Shwepps it seems. I have other beefs with Wags too but I’m thinking this incident was that their employees did not recognizing your confusion and didn’t handle it properly. HTHs! :D

Well, it was another confusing day shopping at Wags. I have seen several sites that say their Wags have stopped taking internet coupons but I went anyway. They were out of everything except for the Kotex so I grabbed a box and then looked for a filler item because I had a $3 RR to use. After 10 minutes I grabbed a couple of pies (2/$1) and headed to the checkout. The cashier (one of my non-favorites) rang up my order and as I try handing her my coupons she says that they no longer take internet coupons. I asked since when and she said about 2 weeks now because of too many fraudulent coupons that they don’t get redeemed for. I told her I’m sorry but I don’t want anything then. I left and headed for the other Wags we have. I looked in my coupons and had mfg. for the Kotex & Ecotrin so I was prepared this time. They had the Kotex & Ecotrin but were out of everything else. I also had an $8 RR and decided to use both the $8 & $3 and bought nuts & frozen dinners as fillers. The cashier rings up my order and I ask her before I hand them to her do you take these coupons and her response was ….. yes, as long as they are not expired. So I’m as confused as ever. Did I just get a cashier that didn’t know or is one store taking them and another not? I think I’m done with Wags, too many rules, too many hassles, too much confusion. Good luck to those of you who shop there.
