3 Ways to Score FREE Starbucks Coffee

September 27, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski 18 Comments

Starbucks Coupons
Here are three ways to indulge your Starbucks cravings while still taking it easy on your wallet!

  • $1/1 Starbucks Frappuccino printable (IE) or printable (FF) — Use this coupon at the Kmart super double coupon event, and you should be able to walk away with a FREE bottled Starbucks Frappuccino, or use it at other stores to get it for cheap.
  • FREE Starbucks Frappuccino coupon — Nominate a friend who deserves a Starbucks Frappuccino. Maybe they could nominate you for one in return? (Thanks, More Than Cents!)
  • FREE $5 Starbucks card credit — If you have an iPhone, you can receive a FREE $5 Starbucks credit when you download the new Starbucks Mobile Card app and reload you Starbucks card with $25 or more. I did this and was credited instantly!

What’s your favorite Starbucks indulgence? I love the Pumpkin Spice Lattes! Just don’t tell me how many calories one has . . .

If you look at the bags of Starbuck’s coffee you buy at Publix, in the top right hand corner you will see a note that if you take the bag into a Starbuck’s store they will exchange it for a 12 ounce cup of coffee. I don’t know if this is all bags in all areas…Hopefully the bags are going to be reused or recycled…YEAH :-)

Yep, check out Marie’s comment. I forgot all about that! The bag that I bought in Outer Banks had it and I meant to post about it. I’ll add it to the post. Thanks for the reminder!

Norma, the Frappuccino coupons definitely work in grocery stores. I’ve never tried them at Starbucks though, so I’m not sure if they accept them. I know they usually do have the bottled Frappuccinos though.

Thanks for the tips. A Starbucks’ Cinnamon Dolce lattes (nonfat, extra-hot, with whip, of course!) is my favorite treat!

Yea, I love cheap or free Starbucks, going to take this coupon to KMart tomorrow and see what kind of deal it will be. Last time I think with the double coupons they were about $.39. My hubby likes to take them to work, saves him buying them from the machine for $3.00!!!!

I like any kind of coffee I don’t have to make myself!! Seriously, my favorite Starbucks would have to be just the House blend with some cream and sugar.

Thank you Tara for the clarification. I usually don’t drink coffee and have never used a Frap Qp, but for a good deal a cold Frap sounds good to me : )

Pumpkin Spice Latte is the beginning of Autumn for me! I love them so much that I was able to adapt a line in a play I was in college to mention the drink!

I saw the bags of Starbucks coffee on clearance at Walgreens for 2-something yesterday and they are in the bags that you can turn in for a free tall coffee!! I have so much coffee that I took my Starbucks Qs to my office coupon swap box, but I am going to see if any are still there and not expired!! Even without coupons, I am guessing that the price of the bagged coffee is about what a tall coffee would cost!

I was at Starbucks today getting some ground coffee. I ordered a tall drip too because they used to give you a free tall coffee when you buy 2 lbs (used to be 1 lb…). Anyway, they charged me for the coffee… When I asked about it they said that they stopped giving a coffee when you buy bags of coffee because people we getting a free coffee when they bought the beans and then another free coffee when they brought the bag in…. I had never heard of the bag thing before – wish I had known and I would have brought my old bags in rather than tossing them out…. and if they are going to change this, why not let people know?

I was able to nominate a friend that I have reconnected with after 32 years, (since high school) I was glad they had the facebook app as I didn’t have an uploadable photo of her. This is very cool to be able to do, thank you!

I was at Starbucks yesterday buying 1 lb. of coffee, and they offered me a free drip. Charles….you need to educate them at your location!!! The free coffee on the bags are the ones you buy in the grocery store… Hope this helps.
