Score 2X Savings Catcher Reward Dollars at Walmart (now through 2/28/15) with Amex Bluebird, a checking and debit alternative with NO hidden fees! I’ve shared previously how you can easily save money at Walmart with the new Savings Catcher tool, and now you can double your savings with this great promotion.
I’ve accrued $16.17 in my account so far, by just shopping as I normally do — so with this Amex Bluebird offer, I can double that to receive $32.34 to spend a Walmart! That’s a nice addition to our holiday shopping funds.
Bluebird can help you get the most out of Savings Catcher — here’s how:
1. Register for Bluebird — complete the short registration form and be sure to verify your email address.
2. Set your Savings Catcher redemption method to your Bluebird account — login to Walmart Savings Catcher and click “Redeem to Bluebird” on your Savings Dashboard. They’ll double your Reward Dollars and turn them into Walmart Buck$, which are separate funds on your Bluebird Account that can only be spent at Walmart or Walmart.com.
3. Spend at Walmart — activate your Bluebird card, then use it at Walmart or Walmart.com. Your Walmart Buck$ will be automatically applied at checkout!
Yes — it’s really that easy!!!

Is this a long-term deal? Or is just an introductory offer through Feb. 15th? In other words, do we only have until Feb. 15th to get the double rewards?
Pat
Oops I didn’t read far enough. You only have until Feb. 28th to get the double bucks. I’m glad I haven’t redeemed yet!
Pat
They won’t let me register because I have an Am Express Serve account. But I can’t sign into that account (I’ve never used it). Will have to call and see what’s going on I guess.

It sounds like a good deal, but I tried to redeem my “Walmart bucks” and it doesn’t work. The store says it’s too new, they don’t know anything about it, call American express or bluebird. Called them 6 days ago, it still doesn’t work. Seems like scam. I now have Walmart bucks I can’t use. Beware.

Same issue here. I tried to redeem my Walmart bucks and the bluebird card wouldn’t even swipe at the register. When the cashier keyed it in it still didn’t work. I have over $16 of Walmart bucks just sitting on this card and haven’t be able to redeem them. Very frustrating. Located in Charlotte, NC.

Tried using Walmart Bucks again today. STILL doesn’t work.

i redeemed 142.00 to bluebird and walmart savings catcher site site said it would be 284.00. I checked the bluebird site after i redeemed and only the original 142.00 was in there.

When I tried to use my card online (on walmart.com) it would not let me until I finally chose something that was covered by the amount on the card. (I was trying to use the Walmart bucks I had transferred to Bluebird.) Anyways so I did buy something that was less than the amount on my Bluebird card and it worked! However it also drained the other few dollars (in Walmart bucks) I had on the card as well!
This was back in March 2016, or around then.
So be ready for your entire balance to go poof and beyond that good luck!
If I have problems again, I guess I will try contacting someone….
One thing I still don’t know is how long do these bucks stay on Bluebird? Am I better off just building up a Walmart Gift Card amount?
