24-Hour Giveaway: Win a Merry Madagascar Prize Pack!

November 19, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski

Merry Madagascar Giveaway

This Christmas season, Walmart and Dreamworks collaborated on a special family movie, Merry Madagascar, starring all of your favorite characters from the first two Madagascar movies, as well as a line of licensed characters, pajamas, snacks and more!

Hopefully you had the opportunity to watch Merry Madagascar when it was on TV last night, but if not, you can pick it up at Walmart now for just $5. My kids thoroughly enjoyed seeing one of their favorite movies transformed into a Christmas special and have been requesting to watch it again ever since.

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Merry Madagascar prize pack, including:

  • 3 Plush toys (Penguin, Lion, Zebra)
  • Merry Madagascar Throw
  • Items from Kellogg’s and Kraft
  • $25 Gift Card to use on the DVD, Snacks, and/or Pajamas
  • Merry Madagascar Recipes

To enter, share your favorite holiday movie! Do you love the classics, like Rudolph and Frosty, or do you prefer family comedies such as The Santa Clause?

+++++++++++++++

Every reader has two methods available to enter this contest. Choose one of each for up to a total of 2 entries!!!

Methods of entry:

1. Leave a comment. Tell me your favorite holiday movie!

2. Tweet the following:

Walmart is giving one lucky @DealSeekingMom reader a chance to win a Merry Madagascar prize pack: https://bit.ly/merrymadagascar

Make sure to come back and leave the link to your tweet in a separate comment!

Prize:
(1) Merry Madagascar prize package, as described above

This giveaway ends at noon EST on 11/20. I’ll use Random.org to select the winning comment. Winner will be notified by email on and listed on my Giveaway Winners page. In order for the winner to receive their prize pack by Thanksgiving, I have to hear back from them tomorrow with their shipping information, so be sure to check back early tomorrow afternoon. Good luck!

While you’re in a contest entering mood, don’t forget to check out the Giveaway Gathering for a variety of contests being hosted on Deal Seeking Mom readers’ blogs!

The Merry Madagascar DVD and giveaway pack were provided to me for free by Walmart and Dream Works.

White Christmas! We turn it on while decorating the tree Thanksgiving weekend and I play it a dozen more times before Christmas day. The tradition started with my grandmother and has been passed down. Now my 4 year old knows it’s just what you do when you put the Christmas tree up!

My favorite holiday movies are the really old christmas time ones. There’s like a rudolph one with the misfit toys and some others – I believe they’re like clay-mation or puppets or something.

Our favorite movies are the Santa Claus movies. I could watch them over and over again with my kids all day long. As a matter of fact, I could watch any holiday movie over another kind of movie.

White Christmas, though I hear there’s a little girl in Merry Madagascar that is a wringer for my daughter. NBC is replaying it on the 28th. I’ve already set the DVR and will be picking up the DVD at Walmart.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
