24-Hour Giveaway: Win a Merry Madagascar Prize Pack!

November 19, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski

Merry Madagascar Giveaway

This Christmas season, Walmart and Dreamworks collaborated on a special family movie, Merry Madagascar, starring all of your favorite characters from the first two Madagascar movies, as well as a line of licensed characters, pajamas, snacks and more!

Hopefully you had the opportunity to watch Merry Madagascar when it was on TV last night, but if not, you can pick it up at Walmart now for just $5. My kids thoroughly enjoyed seeing one of their favorite movies transformed into a Christmas special and have been requesting to watch it again ever since.

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Merry Madagascar prize pack, including:

  • 3 Plush toys (Penguin, Lion, Zebra)
  • Merry Madagascar Throw
  • Items from Kellogg’s and Kraft
  • $25 Gift Card to use on the DVD, Snacks, and/or Pajamas
  • Merry Madagascar Recipes

To enter, share your favorite holiday movie! Do you love the classics, like Rudolph and Frosty, or do you prefer family comedies such as The Santa Clause?

+++++++++++++++

Every reader has two methods available to enter this contest. Choose one of each for up to a total of 2 entries!!!

Methods of entry:

1. Leave a comment. Tell me your favorite holiday movie!

2. Tweet the following:

Walmart is giving one lucky @DealSeekingMom reader a chance to win a Merry Madagascar prize pack: https://bit.ly/merrymadagascar

Make sure to come back and leave the link to your tweet in a separate comment!

Prize:
(1) Merry Madagascar prize package, as described above

This giveaway ends at noon EST on 11/20. I’ll use Random.org to select the winning comment. Winner will be notified by email on and listed on my Giveaway Winners page. In order for the winner to receive their prize pack by Thanksgiving, I have to hear back from them tomorrow with their shipping information, so be sure to check back early tomorrow afternoon. Good luck!

It’s not Christmas unless we watch A Christmas Story! Of course, we usually watch nothing but Christmas movies in the days leading up to Christmas!

Our favorites are Elf and Christmas Vacation. We love to laugh!! The kids enjoy just about anything Christmas-y, but Arthur’s Perfect Christmas and Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas get played over and over.
Thanks for this giveaway… it’s fun to read everyone else’s favorites!

Don’t make me choose. Growing up in the seventies without VCRs I remember one year being devastated to find out I an evening of the old classic claymation shows. Rudolph is proably my all time favorite…

But with kids in the house some of the new movies have become family favorites too. We dig out all our christmas movies on Black Friday and work our way through them all month long!

Totally bummed that we missed Merry Madagascar last night!! My all-time favorite Christmas special is Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown! I still get goosebumps when Linus quotes the Bible verse on stage, and when Charlie brown’s friends present him with the sad little tree they decorated! I just love watching all those cartoons I watched as a kid, but I’m excited that there are new ones like Merry Madagascar to add to our tradition!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
