I’m excited to offer another fun 12 Days of Christmas series at Deal Seeking Mom. Each day through 12/7, I’ll post a new 3-day giveaway! Browse all of the giveaways here.

I love kitchen gadgets of all kinds, so I was excited to try out the Shenzhen Ceramic Knives after reading about the many benefits that ceramic knives offer over traditional steel knives:
- Ceramic knives stay sharper longer. They’re harder than steel and will hold their edge longer.
- They will not rust and and are easy to clean.
- Ceramic knives won’t affect the taste of food or cause it to turn brown.
- They’re lightweight, making them easy and comfortable to use.
So what’s my verdict? They certainly are every bit as sharp as their website says. My finger can attest to that, LOL. The only drawback I can see? Because ceramic knives are very delicate, they can’t be used for more aggressive chopping and deboning, so you will still need to have several steel knives on hand for these tasks.
The good news is that Shenzhen Ceramic Knives are a fantastic price for the quality compared to many other highly recommended ceramic knives. So if you’re looking for a good set of ceramic knives at a bargain price, this set fits the bill!

Four Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a 3-piece Shenzhen knife set (chef’s knife, slicing knife and paring knife) and peeler.
To enter, tell me how often you sharpen your knives. Do you just buy them and that’s it, or do you bring them in to get sharpened on a yearly basis?

My husband sharpens the knives every few weeks & I just had a customer of mine loan me his chef’s choice sharpener to get a nice new edge on my super-dull knives!!

I almost never sharpen my knives. I had one knife that became worthless when it lost its edge. I would sharpen it and it would lose its edge after dicing an onion. Now I am using serrated knives until something better comes along.

We don’t sharpen the knives in my house too often… I am horrible at cutting things and a lot of times wind up cutting myself while trying to cut stuff up, so my husband doesn’t sharpen them too often.

Having worked in the meat department of a supermarket to put myself thru High School and College, I learned to “steel” my knives. Using a sharpening steel, I sharpen the knife before using it. I know it will have a good sharp edge and it will cut nicely.

Our set came with a sharpener, so my FIL sharpens our knives when he’s here!

This is a sore subject at my house. My husband has all the latest gadgets to sharpen knives (and he does sharpen his) but will not sharpen my knives. So I guess they go dull and I buy new
