Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday, with 24-hour giveaways just for you!
If you were ever obsessed with the bright lights that fill the night sky as a child, then you’ll know the magic that it contains for young minds. Foster that interest in your own child by opening up the universe to them and letting them explore the stars and the planets that are out there beyond Earth. Scholastic has a fantastic interactive activity book, Klutz Guide to the Galaxy, that does just that.
About the Book: Explore the universe without leaving the comfort of your backyard. When the scientists at Klutz Labs tackle outer space, they not only ask questions like “Where’s the Big Dipper” but also “If I lived on planet Mercury, am I already old enough to drive?” Use the included telescope, red light for night use, sundial, and astrolab to start exploring our great galaxy.
Three Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a Klutz Guide To The Galaxy Prize Pack that includes:
- The Klutz Guide to the Galaxy
- Backyard Stars
- Backyard Stars
- Invasion of the Bristlebots
- The Solar Car Book

Yes, in fact my 8th grade science project almost 20 years ago was about black holes, back when they were just a theory most lay people hadn’t heard of. I was excited when, a few years back, scientists found proof of them!

I was in the Young Astronauts Club as a child and I remember crying the day the Challenger space shuttle exploded. I remember standing in my backyard with my dad, searching the skies for Halley’s Comet. I’ve always been fascinated by the stars and planets that look so close, yet are so incredibly far away.
Lori Coleman
yes I was, I remember as a child trying to go out late one night and see Hailey’s Comet, I still love looking at the stars now with my children.
Stephanie Kirk
As a child, my Gramps would take us out under the country night sky & show us all of the stars and constellations.
Would love the opportunity to win this for my kids!

Was obsessed. Was a wuss with sleep and never could stay up late enough/get up at 4 a.m. to see the meteor showers.

Yes! I was entirely obsessed with space themes as a child. I begged my parents to let me attend Space Camp (never happened, haha). Hoping my little girls are the same.
