Something that might make this deal a little sweeter: went to my local Walmart today (in Alabama) — they had a Schick Hydro set (includes razor, 5 cartridges, & shave gel) for $9.96 total. Took my $5/1 coupon to the register & it worked — so the set was only $4.96!!! Also sent in the mail-in rebate, which only asked for proof of purchase & receipt with purchase price circled (not if coupons were used). Mail in rebate is for up to $10.99, so it’s a potential money-maker!!

I picked up about 10 of these. At target. I had some $4. off coupons. Then I did get 5 of the $5 coupons. I also used the $1 off target coupon. An I have to say my husband loves then. My target had both the the 4 and 5 blade.

OK, silly question Tara. (I feel silly because having been couponing for a while, I should know this but … ) I always have problems with Target and using coupons there, especially when they’re going to make the register beep. I’m assuming that they will need to adjust down the q if you use both the $5/1 and the $4/1 qs right? Last time I had a cashier adjust down a q a penny, you would have thought I asked her if I could steal from the store. Ughhhh, I loath fighting for something that I shouldn’t have to fight for. I’m just asking because I want to go in armed with the knowledge of what I have to sweet talk them into doing … or eventually demand it, lol. I try sugar and if that doesn’t work (and I know I’m right) I’ll just go to another store … may be, lol. Thanks for the great heads up though! :D

I was at Target Monday & checked the prices on both the 3 & 5 blade Hydro razors. At my store, both are $7.99 and both were GONE except for a single 3 blade someone dropped somewhere. Since it isn’t a sale price, I decided to wait for more of the 5 blades to come in.
Anyway, I have a $5 coupon & the $4 Target one, so it would be $9 off of $7.99. If you don’t want the hassle of having them adjust the coupon(s), you could probably spend another $1 or so to absorb the overage. There’s always stuff in the dollar spot area and the SoBe is $10 for 10 this week with a $5 GC…so you can buy 1 Sobe to make up the difference.
Hope that helps a little. Easier to just buy something extra than waste time with the cashiers when you can get done & get to another store for other deals. ;)

Yes, Rebecca, they will have to adjust one of the coupons down (or as Marc mentioned you may possibly just get the overage). I’d encourage you to print a copy of the Target coupon policy to carry with you as it does address this issue. You can find it here:

Tara and Ladies, Has anyone ever had a problem getting a rebate back when coupons are used? Walmart’s receipt shows the UPC of the coupon, and its the same first few numbers as the product so you know they go together. If rebate people see this, have you ever had them adjust you down or deny it? This rebate says UP TO which means the prices vary, and I didnt know if they would deduct money for the coupon. Just wanted your thoughts :-). Thanks.
