Restaurant.com has a HOT offer on gift certificates today only. Use coupon code WOW to receive 90% off, making them just $1!
But it gets better, when you order through your Shop At Home account, you’ll also receive 25% cash back, which means each one will only cost you $0.75. And as always new Shop At Home members will receive a $5 credit, making this a great way to score FREE gift certificates!
Here’s how to order:
- Register with ShopAtHome (must use this link for $5 bonus) or login.
- Visit the Restaurant.com coupons page and click on the “Shop Now” button to ensure you receive your cash back credit.
- Place your gift certificates order and use code WOW at checkout.
- You’ll receive a credit within 30 days for your 25% ShopAtHome cashback, plus if you’re a new ShopAtHome member, you’ll receive a $5 sign-up bonus!
Many of these gift certificates require you to make a minimum purchase of $35 to $50, but if you have a large family like we do, you easily spend that much on a single meal, and you’ll still be able to treat the whole family for as low as $11 plus tax and tip if you do it carefully!

I can’t get the $5 for signing up :(

I’m sorry, Amanda. I forgot that there’s a specific link for the $5 bonus — try this one: https://dealseekingmom.com/cashback/shopathome
I’ll update the post now!

The site has been down all day :( I was about to checkout with my purchases when it crashed, probably because so many people are trying to get into it. I’ll just have to keep trying all day!

Can’t get on. I start and only get so far and then I get “page cannot be found”…… Posting this stuff on DSM is exactly why the websites don’t work. Truly a double edge sword. Extremely frustrating to say the least!
chris
Worked just fine for me.

This Q is to anyone who has ever bought from that site before. I’d really like to give it a try but all the restaurants I saw say they add an 18$ gratuity to the gift card before the discount. Are all g.c.s on this site like that?? Cuz that’s kind of a bummer. And then does that come off the balance of the g.c. or is that an extra cost?
AC
sorry, I meant 18% gratuity
semone
the code – wow – isn’t working for me.
Christine
AC- It’s added to the total of the bill from the restaurant. We typically tip 20% any ways so we’ve never had an issue with it.
The last one we bought was a min. of $35 we spent $37 and some change. Paid $2.00 for a $25 gc. So our total out of pocket was $12 plus tip (about $7) = $19 for almost $40 worth of food and drinks. I still made out on the deal
Bella
Good Day AC, I have bought and used them, even given as gifts and they work great. The 18% gratuity is added on before you get your bill, not to the certificate. For me that means no additional tip comes out of my pocket. You must carefully read the ‘requirements’ listed in the blue box on the right of each restaurant. The $10 certs work best for lunches. Be sure to read the blue box tho! For example; if your bill is $50 they will add 18% gratuity to that and then deduct your coupon of say $25. You will get the bill for the balance. Again, I do not give any additional tip (gratuity). IF I could get onto the site right now I’d include the link to the information you are asking about. I hope this helps. K
Bella
P.S. I normally tip 20%, but being that they TAKE it and don’t allow me to GIVE it, they get 18%
semone
ok, i have mine. Thank you for this info. MAJOR BLESSING!
chris
No one “takes” your money – the participating restaurant ensures that the server gets a tip on the entire meal purchase, not just the total amount you pay after your “coupon” – example, if the bill is $50 BEFORE your gift certificate and you normally tip 20% then the server gets $10 – if you use your gift certificate for $25 on that same $50 bill then you owe $25 – and if you tip 20% on that the server gets $5 – a very big difference to your poor server!
By instituting this policy the restaurants get more business, you save money on a meal out and your server does not get stiffed.
Works for me and I LOVE these gift certificates! :)
Bella
I think there is a misunderstanding here… the gratuity is added BEFORE the certificate amount is deducted. Then it’s your option to give more tip. Have great day.
chris
You are absolutely correct – that’s what I wrote! (or tried to, haha!) If the restaurants didn’t add the tip automatically a lot of waitstaff would get stiffed because some people only tip on what they PAY not what the bill was before the deduction. Sorry I was not clear guess I need more coffee :)
mark
if you want to tip more you can leave cash on the table – i know waiters like me would not mind.
Bella
absolutely :-)

Question: does anyone know how to close/delete an account with shopathome.com? I can’t, for the life of me, figure it out, and it’s driving me nuts. I’d like to close my account because I clicked the wrong link to open a new account so I didn’t get the $5 referral bonus. But I can’t sign up again with my primary e-mail address because it’s already in use. ARGH!
Tara Kuczykowski
Kristin, email me with your information and I’ll get with my contact to see how we can fix it for you. I’m sure they can work something out, so go ahead and order your gift certificate if you want.
Brianna
Was the $5 bonus supposed to go towards you pruchase? Because mine definitely didn’t and I already use ebates so I really don’t even know if I will ever get to the $20 on shopathome.com just to get the check mailed to me.

I wanted to warn your readers about Restaurant.com. I purchased a few gift certificates from them last year and unknowingly signed up for a discount shopping membership program who was charging my credit card $19.95 a month. Apparently Restaurant.com shared my credit card information. I am now in the process of disputing the charges. I would warn other consumers from patronizing Restaurant.com.
