Walmart: Dr. Seuss Books $2.65 Shipped

March 4, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski 14 Comments

In celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, Walmart has several classic books priced as low as $2.65 with FREE shipping to store! This is a great way to round out your collection of children’s books.

Dr. Seuss books priced at $2.65:

  • The Shape of Me and Other Stuff
  • Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You?
  • There’s a Wocket in My Pocket!
  • Hop On Pop
  • Ten Apples Up on Top!
  • The Eye Book

Plus many more Dr. Seuss books up to 47% off.

One other book I’d recommend to any expectant moms out there is Oh, Baby, the Places You’ll Go!. My husband and I would take turns reading it out loud each night when I was pregnant, and it was truly amazing to see the way my babies all responded to it after they were born and I’d read it to them.

I’ve already put away five copies so that I can pass them on when they each have their first child someday.

Just FYI…I believe these are the small, hardback baby type books, not the regular size. Still a great price, but don’t want people to be disappointed if they are expecting the bigger books :) Someone correct me if I’m wrong about this!

I gave both of my boys the “Oh the Places You’ll Go” book for their high school graduations. I kept the original book that I read to them from as small children.

Dr Seuss books are a must-have in every kids’ library!

Hmm, Mr. Brown says it’s a hardcover with 24 pages. That doesn’t sound like the board book to me, and we do have both versions. The board books are very condensed.

That’s a great idea, Connie! I’ll have to remember to do that for my kids. We do still read the “Oh Baby” version together every once in awhile — it’s definitely a favorite, along with Mr. Brown and many others.

Janice I saw the comments on the books I would need and they were saying the books were small like baby book board books. I saw the one Tara referred to that said it was hardback with 24 pages so I looked in my books I have and they have like 60 pages. So I am not sure either, cause the ages on the walmart site say 4-8. I might order them and then when they come in if I don’t like them I can return them since I will already be in the store.

There are 2 books titled The Eye Book on the walmart site one has 24 pages and is the $2.65 price, the other has 48 pages and is 4.95 so i think these are some type of small book.

Kyra sounds like you might have gotten the normal size books (hopefully) :) I checked the title of 2 different books and there were the two different prices and page amounts. Oh well I think still a good deal.

All the books that are listed for the $2.65 are 4 in by 5 in board books. The ones that are $4 and some change are the little bit bigger 6 in by 9 inch books with thinner pages.
