    Be careful on this one..

Bought two single reach toothbrushes at first Walgreens, it printed out $3 RR and $1 RR..Went to second Walgreens, did exact same transaction and the $1 RR did not print out..I asked..they tried to tell me that you can’t get both..I eventually showed them the receipt from earlier with corresponding RR and the manager gave me $1. But I don’t think he believed me..so much work for $1. Yet, I think I was right! Or not? What does everyone think?

Catalina policy states that a RR will not print when a RR was used to make the purchase. Some managers or cashiers get frustrated with them not printing and will manually create the catalina reward for you – luck of the draw on that one!

I have four SS 5/8/11 inserts, and none of them have the Reach coupon in them. I live near Indianapolis.

I just went to Walgreens. I got two value packs each rung up to 6.99. The manager had to manually do the transaction to $2.50 each. I also had a $2 0ff coupon. After the transaction it printed $3 RR and a $1 RR. Even better! I have another $2 off coupon, I’ll try to see if I can go to a different Walgreens! =)

Do you use the register rewards with current transactions or are these rewards used for future purchases only?

RR are used on future purchases. They print out after your transaction is done.

I agree! the walgreens here is horrible with any rr and coupons! I have complained many times and after complaints they fix it but I told the manager I dont understand why I have to go through a hasle when other stores make it easy!

I tried to do this and they told me it was the wrong coupon. *Shrugs* I Tried! Walgreen’s never lets me get free toothbrushes. They really hate giving anything away for “Free”. I’ll have the same exact coupon as everyone else keeps talking about and they always refuse it… every time lol I need some help with these cashiers. I don’t even run multiple transactions… I’m always polite. Only thing it gets me is wasted coupons lol That is sad!

Totally agree, i always have the worst experience with walgreens when it comes to using coupons. what’s worst is the manager’s don’t know their own coupon policy…sigh

As I always said, walgreen is nowhere that you can look for your greens. Their coupon policy is a rip off. They print out your cash back but count it as manufacture coupon. You have to waste your cash back in the filler in order to use your real manufacture coupon. But RiteAid and CVS let you use your cash back as your real cash. RiteAid single cah back even better. You can put the money into your own bank.

Walgreens (here in Sierra Vista, AZ) is horrible with just coupons.
I had the $3 Splenda coupon a little while ago and Walgreens had a sale for 2.99 on it. Cashregister would not accept the coupon, cashier didn’t know how to override it. She called the Assistant Manager which told me that they can not take the coupon because it is higher then the product (by one penny!). I pulled out my “Walgreens coupon policy”. She read over it like she had never seen it before….. but she still insisted that she can’t do it and “could be fired if doing it anyways”.
Manager was not in on the weekend…. but I haven’t been back since. Just a huge hassle and mostly a waste of time, plus an inconvenience to everybody in line behind me. I know I was in my right, but they still refused to adhere to their own policy.
