Walgreens: FREE got2b

February 15, 2012 by Stacy @ Saving in Akron 12 Comments

Walgreens has got2b products on BOGO, 2/$5.99.  In last Sunday’s RP insert there was a coupon for $3/1 full size got2b product. The sale should run until the end of the month so you have plenty of time.  Make sure to get a raincheck if your store is out.

Here’s what you need to do to score 2 FREE products:

Buy (2) got2b products, 2/$5.99
Use (2) $3/1 got2b product, exp. 5/12/12 (RP 2/19/12)
FREE after coupons!

I couldn’t get this deal. I tried it at 2 different Walgreens stores. They both said that they could not take the second coupon because the value of the coupon was higher than the amount (5.99-6.00= .01 overage) Both stores would not adjust the second coupon to $2.99. It was a bummer.

Walgreens coupon policy states they must adjust the coupon. Next time, make sure to carry a copy of the policy with you when you shop. However, if this happens again, you can buy a small filler (I recommend the $0.10 laffy taffy). It will cost you a few cents, but it will alleviate any hassle for you.

Is this an unadvertised deal? My Walgreens didn’t have them BOGO.

no problem at one store, used a filler just in case at the second store and the register wouldn’t accept it. The manager was called and proceeded to accuse me of Coupon fraud in front of everyone on line.

I have one coupon. The Walgreens’ sale is two got2b products for $5.99. If you buy one, will it ring up at $3.00? Or do you need to buy two got2b products?

At Walgreens, you need to buy 2 on a BOGO sale. It’s different than the grocery stores.

It doesn’t matter if you have filler items. You don’t need them for this deal. Their coupon policy states that the coupon cannot exceed the value of the item so no filler needed. What you have to do though is have them adjust the 2nd coupon down to 2.99. Thier policy states they have to. I’d print the policy and bring it to them and show them if you have any problems. I’ve done this deal at my walgreens and scored 40 bottles of FREE Got2b products using 40 coupons in several different transactions. They just adjust down the total of the coupon. :)

      Hi Beverly,
Yes, it’s true that the policy states that Walgreens must adjust the coupon. However, for those that don’t have the policy with them or just don’t want to hassle with the cashier, a small filler will do the trick.
