I just tried stacking the coupons at Walgreens and they wouldn’t let me-same for the candy bar deals (store coupons in their monthly coupon with a manufacturer coupon.) Frustrating, spent too much time arguing with the cashier and then the manager. I’m taking a break from Walgreens.

Show them their ad shows using the newspaper coupon and the Walgreens coupon. I had stopped shopping at Walgreens for a long time after being treated poorly too many times.

I have problems with Walgreens also. They need to trane their people better, even the managers. I had to stop shopping there a few times. At least until new people came in. The last few new managers honored their coupons and rainchecks. We have stopped using them as a pharmacy. They messed up my rx’s toooo many times, I had to keep a month supply in the safe.

The problem is that even though the $1 coupon in the Walgreens October Book is a store coupon, for some reason it is ringing up as a Manufacturer’s Coupon, so the register thinks you are trying to stack Manufacturer’s Coupons. The Assistant Manager had to first scan my Walgreen’s coupon, then manually enter my Manufacturer’s coupon. Basically, it’s just a glitch in how the register is reading the Walgreen’s coupon. Hope this helps.
Melissa
I need to stock up :)

Only the purple packs were marked at my store so that is what I purchased. I stacked the coupons for the tp and candy bars with no problem. Try a diff location and/or contact corporate.

Be sure you have the same number of items as coupons even if you have to buy a “filler” item, if you have 4 coupons and only 2 items it won’t go through
Melissa
You have to have the same number of Manufacturer’s Coupons (including Register Rewards) as items you’re purchasing, but you should be able to stack Store Coupons w/ Manufacturer’s without having to add extra items. If your coupon value exceeds your purchase price, ask them to adjust the coupon value.
Christy
At my store, the coupons in the monthly book count as manufacturer’s coupons even though they are in fact store coupons, so I have to include them in the coupon count. So if I buy two Cottonelle and use the two 0.75 manufacturer’s coupons, I’ll have to have a small filler item to be able to use the $1 coupon in the October booklet.

I just did this today in Texas and I did NOT get the 3RR. Since it wasn’t advertised anywhere, I felt like asking wasn’t going to help since I didn’t have anything to back me up. Will have to make another trip to return them, which is a bit annoying.

I went to Walgreens and saw the cottonelle toilet paper and it was soooo small! even if I pay $6.50 for 2 of the 12 rolls its still not a good deal! I rather pay $11.50 for 24 rolls of Quilted Northern toilet paper at Walmart because their toilet paper is way larger- it has 645 square feet total for the 24 rolls; the cottonelle from Walgreens is only 157 square feet for 12 rolls or 314 for 24 rolls. I hate Walgreens! Their products are all OVERPRICED!
Beth
Actually, assuming you are using two of the $0.75/1 coupons, the deals work out to be almost the same and actually slightly better at Walgreens. $5.50 for two packs at Walgreens works out to 1.75 cents/square foot. $11.50 for 24 rolls at Walmart works out to 1.78 cents/square foot. Is the 11.50 price at Walmart regular price or is it a sale price? If that’s regular price, then it’s nice to know you can stock up there anytime.
Megan
$11.50 is the Regaular price at Walmart for the 24 rolls ( you get 645 Square Feet). Walgreens cost $6.50 for both or for 24 packs. Walmart: $11.50/645 Square Feet= .017 per square feet; Walgreens $6.50/314 square feet= .020 per square feet. Walmart is cheaper without sale.If I used my (2) 0.75 cents coupons at Walmart , I could of saved a lot more there. Dangit i wasted my coupons!

The purple packs were not $5, the specially marked 12 single rolls are $5 each. I went today and did not receive RR. Not happy.
Christine
many deal sites including this one marked this as a hot deal, but I’m glad that I can confirm from one of the above commenters that this deal actually does not equal a steal according to the toilet paper principle I read here not too long ago… so I am just happy with my 2 packs and will wait to stock up on other tp deals. used 2 printable .50 coupons + walgreens $1 Q applied twice for total $2/pack after RR + tax of course. thanks
