I saw this the other day & thought it was a money maker too but second time I looked at the form, this term got me wondering. “actual retail amount will equal purchase price minus $3.00 , up to $3.99 not including tax” Are they going to deduct the coupon or just reminding you to use it? They do say circle price paid and I would circle the price before the coupon & tax.

Patti, from what I understand, the rebate is stating that you’ll receive the amount back after the $3 manufacturer’s coupon if you use it. The other $3 coupon is a Walgreens store coupon, so you should still receive $2.99 back when using both coupons.

You can always ask the cashier for a rebate receipt. It dosen’t show coupons or RR’s used. HTH

Patti, I read that too. I took it as you buy it for $5.99, use your coupon for $3, and that makes it $2.99 and that is all the will refund. Sounds to me like you would still get it for free, but not a money maker.

I see. The rebate will be $2.99 when I will have paid nothing to get them upon checkout.

Both my walgreens are refusing to accept the coupon because it is more than the price $2.99 even after I show them the policy. They interpret the policy to say they will not accept any coupon over the amount.

Walgreens’ new policy is to adjust the coupon value down to the actual price of the item purchased. This has always been a source of contention for couponers at Wags since, when has anyone ever seen a $.99 coupon? Previously, it was a great way for them to justify not taking coupons. I believe this has changed. Walk in to your store with a copy of their policy, which should be available on their website, or just Google Walgreens coupon policy.
