How does a Target Mobile coupon work? Do you have to have a smartphone?

I use mine from a blackberry. I signed up on line and then the deals are sent via a text. You open the link in the text and list of items is available with a bar code at the top. The cashier scans the code and you get coupon credit for each item purchased. It’s beautiful when it works:)

So it has to be a smartphone! That’s what I was thinking. Oh well, I used to have an i phone and hated it. I love my basic slide LG much more!

Do you have to have internet access on your phone, or just texting???

Just tried to use the Target Mobile coupon today. They scanned my phone and it came up with a $0.00 discount. They wouldn’t give me any coupon credit even though I had the right item. They called a manager who never came over and I gave up. So ends my cautionary tale.

Had the same problem with a coupon the last time around. Target is such a pain with coupons. I have had the last 2 male cashiers read them with a maginifine glass taking FOREVER! This last time I told the guy you got 4 minutes then I’m leaving. Had to pick up the kids. Don’t have time for the criminal eye. Find smaller trips confuse them less but who has that kind of time either.

Why if it’s a promo attached to a toy would the t-shirt not come smaller than a kids large??? These companies crack me up!

The total has to be $20 before taxes. If you buy two toys, it will only be $19.98. Do you know if they would still accept it?

I doubt it — the second toy needs to be priced at $10.01 or higher.

Try to find another computer to print out one more target coupon and buy the cheapest a $7.99 toy there.

If you have a second computer, print out one more of the $5 manufacturer coupons, and get a $7.99 toy. It will be $2.99 (plus tax) after your coupon, and that’s enough to get you over $20 for the t-shirt and extra toy. Plus, I am finding the $9.99 toys are only Autobots at my store, and you need a Deceptocon for battles!

The Target mobile coupon fine print says that you can’t combine Target mobile coupons with Target printable coupons, so you’d have to combine either the printable or mobile Target coupon with a manufacturer coupon (such as the $5 printable that was on coupons.com last week) to get the $10 off.

      Bonnie,
The printable from the Target website is actually a manufacturer’s coupon, not a Target coupon. I did the deal today and it worked ($11.99 & $9.99 toys)… the only problem was the mobile coupon took the $5 right off the selling price and it wasn’t clear that it was a $9.99 toy it looked like it only cost $4.99. So, I went back and bought another toy at $7.99. I figure when I get the gift package in the mail I’ll return the $7.99 toy and just rebuy it with the $5.00 coupon. Couldn’t decide what else to do?

Ooh, glad I saw this. I printed out four coupons total. I bought two $9.99 with the Target mobile coupons (they sent out one last week and a new one this week) and two $5MQ. Net sales tax only (85 cents each). I bought two of the $7.99 with $5 MQ. Net $2.99 each (plus sales tax). That’s enough to send in for the rebate. No returning funny business needed.

I printed the rebate form. In order to get the gift we need to include the original receipts and anything else?
