I really liked TaxAct. This was the first year I ever used software instead of going to a professional. I was even able to use it for my business (child care provider), and it gave me all the deductions. We also had adoption credits too, and everything came out great. We rec’d our refund via direct depostit this morning!P.S I tried Turbo Tax first , but had to stop because it required I upgrade to Home & Business ($74.95). Tax act was free except $14.95 to efile state.

I have used TaxAct for the last five years. It is free to efile for Federal and very user friendly. It covers all filing requirements. There is a charge for State tax filing. Before I used Tax Act I had my taxes professionally done. When I checked the work, the “professional” had made mistakes. I figured that I could do as well as that!
