target has stopped accepting coupons for larger than the sales price in our area, any suggestions?

Well, their policy which states:
“Coupon amount may be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied.”
It does not say that they cannot or will not accept them. I would print it out and take it with me. My Target has been good about taking them at face value or adjusting the amount down.

clicked on the link to red plum. the only garnier coupon, which I printed out, is for cleanser or mosturizer. Did they remove it that quickly? What was your zip code, so I can confirm the zip I thought was yours? Thanks :)

I just looked at my coupon and in the lower right corner it says “redeemable at drug, food, and mass merchandise stores (excluding trial sizes)”. I guess if you’re really investigating the coupon you’ll see it. Just thought I’d throw that in there since a lot of stores are getting a bit uptight on coupon usage! : )

My Target will not take anything for Trial Sizes/ Travel Sizes. I cant recall what it was (Nail Polish I think) that for some reason they had put in with the Travel Sizes and they wouldnt let me use a coupon on it. The manager always goes “We have the right to refuse any coupon for any reason” They dont accept ones from the news paper like that either. One time she told me that she wouldnt allow any of my coupons to be taken because I tried getting the Tide one load packs with the $1 off coupon (with no size). She goes our computer wont take it. I explained to her that she needed to have the cashier adjust it down, but then she starts off on her…. “We dont have to” when I called customer service they told me she has a right to refuse it if she feels it is being misused…..
