Will they let you use the $2 off Gillette deo. since the price is only $1.99? I tried to use a coupon last week on something and they couldn’t do it because the coupon was greater than the price.

Yes, some of the registers will take off $2 and some with adjust down to $1.99. It’s in their official coupon policy so you could print it out and take it with you to make it easier.

I have used coupons that had overage at target before and had no problem. I am sure it beeped but the cashier still put it thru since the q was for the correct product. Guess it just depends on the store/cashier.

Yes, they should adjust the coupon down to the $1.99 cost. So you should have been able to use it and should be able to use the coupon for the Gillette.

You should have been able to use that coupon as far as I know. If you had other products, the overage should have gone towards that. Even if you didn’t, I think you could still use it, they just can’t give you change back.

I bought a Room Essential bed in a bag at Target last week on sale for $37.00 and they were nice enough to take my %15 of room essential coupon and use it on that, when it was really meant for sheet sets. Love Target.

I have always had target apply the overage to other purchases on my order. However, about 50% of the time I have to argue with them about it, sometimes even all the manager. The cashiers don’t realise that they get paid the full value of the coupon from the maufacturer regardless of purchase price. The last cashier told me that they get marked down everytime they have to manually over ride a coupon. This could be part of their reluctance to use coupons with overage…or at least coupons that ‘beep’.

With the gillette deodorant $1.99 , it’s not on sale in the boston area. Just went, old spice is on sale and for that price but not gillette. Really bummed.
