Mother’s Day is approaching quickly, so I’d love to take a moment to introduce you to an initiative at Walmart that’s near and dear to my heart. Empowering Women Together is a program that’s all about helping improve the lives of women and their families right here in the U.S., as well as worldwide.

Products that are part of the Empowering Women Together line are produced by small, women-owned businesses and feature unique and meaningful designs and quotes. As a woman-owned business myself, I’m always thrilled to find ways to help other women succeed.

Started as an online offering last year, now in conjunction with Full Circle Exchange, these products can be found on shelves at a Walmart store near you, giving these women access to more than an estimated 100 million shoppers. Pretty amazing, isn’t it?

Even more amazing are the simply gorgeous products these women are producing, like the scarves featured at the start of this post. Each of these beautiful handmade scarves is signed by the artisan that made it, as are many other products in the Empowering Women Together line.

Under the Empowering Women Together program, Full Circle Exchange has brought together five suppliers to introduce these new products into Walmart stores this spring including, Caribbean Craft, Fidenzo Designs, Nirmal, Soreh Designs and women refugees employed at Full Circle’s facility in Boise, Idaho. Among the nearly 50 products available in stores this week are the scarves I mentioned above, aprons, mugs and tumblers, chocolate gift sets and greeting cards.

I adore the colorful latte mugs shown above, although my favorite is the simple news type design featuring encouraging words like lovely, brave, authentic, unique, and more. Each mug is hand signed and also comes with a collectible charm that can be used on a bracelet, bookmark or luggage tag.

There are so many other useful products that would make fabulous Mother’s Day gifts… On-the-go moms will appreciate sipping their hot drinks from these cute tumblers.

And I think they’ll equally appreciate these adorable acrylic cold drink tumblers on the hot summer days to come.
