I’m frustrated because I went out of my way to get his deal for my daughter and I just got denied on this deal in Melbourne, FL. They said because I am getting one free (BOGO) that they would only use one of my coupons (I made sure I had overage items– i.e. the store was still making a nice profit off of me). That DOES NOT make it free other than Walgreens BOGO deal (which I don’t need to bother printing a coupon for)– that makes it $2.00.
I have been couponing for almost ten years now and rarely run into this type of wall. I explained that the store would be reimbursed for their coupon use so it is no skin off of THEIR nose, but it was to no avail.
I called customer service and the representative told me her interpretation on the coupon’s (manufacturer’s) intent. I kept my cool but have more appreciation for application of policy than a lecture that smacks of one’s personal feeling of morality.
It stinks when people seem to act like you are cheating the system when manufacturers have it set up so that coupons coincide with sales.
All said, I wish that I had not wasted my very limited time this morning on this posting and on this “deal.”
