It’s been awhile since I’ve seen Pinecone Research open for applications. It looks like they’ve updated their program to a new points redemption format, but I’ve always been very impressed with them, so it’s definitely worth investigating!

has anyone ever gotten anything from any of these research firms? prizes? money? whatever?

I’ve been a Pinecone member for a year or two now, and I promptly receive a check for $3 after completing each survey. I’ve ignored the past month’s surveys as I’ve been too busy, so I hadn’t noticed the new points thing. Overall, though, it’s been a good experience. Each survey usually takes 20 min, or so, so you’re not making much money, but save up a few $3 checks and then it makes it seem worthwhile when you cash them.

I too have been a Pinecone Research member for a while. I get my $3 per survey deposited into my Paypal acct. They’ve always paid within a few days of completing the surveys. I agree with previous poster that it usually takes about 20 min or so for each survey. I have also received a few sample items to try and then fill in a questionnaire about the item.
I haven’t seen anything about a points program so it will be interesting to see what that will entail and if it will be better than the monetary compensation or not.

Would you be willing to refer me? I am a stay at home mom at the moment looking for a job and having a a hard go of it. I know that this would in no way make me rich, but at this point, any little bit helps.

Pinecone Research is the best survey company there is. I was a member about 8 years ago, and then got to busy to take the surveys and they removed me. I’ve been trying to get back in since then. I used to get $5 check for every survey. Not sure how they do it now. They are a legit company.

Of the ones I’m using, mysurvey.com pays small amounts (you need $10 to cash out) fairly regularly, Gongos auto is very good for Amazon credit, and e-survey is good for airline credit and some other rewards. Yougov gives cash if you get to $100, which takes years, but has other prizes for less. I will say all have surveys that can be rather interesting.
