I am not lovin the max perks, bought the free back backs back in July, and still have not received my max perks credit, they said could be end of Sept. You have to wait a very long time for them to come.

If you bought the same backpacks that I did, (100% back in Maxperks Rewards) the week of Sunday July 31-August 6, the tag in the store when I bought them said that the credits would not post until August even if purchased on the 31st, and not available until September 20th. The rewards basically aren’t awarded until their return period has just about passed which is a pretty reasonable policy. So, you may have to wait between 20 to 50 days or so to get and use your reward, but that’s a small price to pay. Be patient! Most free stuff that is shipped to you takes 6-8 weeks, this is no different…
By the way, you can also use OfficeMax coupons in conjunction with the rewards, so basically if you use these rewards plus a coupon on more free stuff or partially Maxperks rewards, you’ll get even more free goodies. We often get $15 off $50, and if you bought the two backpacks that’s about $40.00, so you can walk out of the store with $55.00 worth of stuff basically for free, plus possibly more rewards from the new purchases. The free stuff diminishes over time, but you keep getting stuff every few months for school, work or personal use… I invest $150 or so in cash on supplies at the beginning of each school year, preferably whatever is on the 100% back specials, and keep getting stuff back for most of the year for that initial investment. If you only bought the 100% rewards stuff (presuming they offer something at least once a month), you’d have a continuous stream of practically free stuff that you’d only pay pennies or a few dollars here and there. Again, patience and monitoring the ads is key. O using rewards on only the back to school specially priced merchandise that’s only pennies as well…

Hi Bryan, you seem to know your stuff, so I’ll ask you… in what form do the maxperks come in? Say I took advantage of the majority of the deals this week and got about $140 in rewards. When I finally get the rewards, will it be in the form of a coupon that I have to use all at once? Or is it more like a gift card? And am I able to use them online?
I just signed up and was curious before dropping that much $.

I just got off the phone with customer service. The buying time is July, August, Sept. and then you get the Rewards the following month on the 20th! The rewards are good for 90 days after that!
It sounds like you will get them but I called to make sure what the program was about.

I purchased a back pack and a ream of paper that were part of the “100% back in Max Perks bonus rewards” at the end of July. I paid with a combination of Max Perks rewards, an Office Max gift card and cash. After checking my account online it appeared that I only got the Max Perks bonus rewards for the portion I paid in cash. Customer service confirmed that purchases made with Max Rewards and Office Max Gift Cards do not count towards Max Perks bonus rewards.
Emily
I have not found this to be the case. I have paid $120 with Max perks and received $120 in Max perks on the bookbag deal.
VC
i did not get my rewards yet…will call them tomorrow anyone else?

Not exactly loving Maxperks for teaching, I dont like the fact that you lost your credit at the end of the calendar year. Could be better, or more teacher friendly, I guess, here is a good breakdown of their program is anyone is interested.
