Is there a certain amount that you have to spend to get the catalina deal and can you do it just buying batteries? Thank you!

      Hi Angel,
You need to spend $25 to get the $5 catalina. It can be just batteries. The catalina is printing based on presale prices. So the batteries are normally $10.99 at my store. You could buy 2 large packages and a small package to reach the $25 I believe.

@Renae so If I wanted to I could buy 3 large packages even though they are on sale for 7.99 and it would still count towards the catalina and be enough? I plan on doing this tomorrow and want to make sure I do it right. Thank you

It should work without a problem. As long as the regular price of the batteries adds up to more than $25- which it will since the big packs are normally more than $10 each.

      Good Luck!

      Cammy,
As long as your total is over $25 for the presale price it should work.

      Hi Trina,
In the Mid-Atlantic sales flyer it lists the batteries for $7.99 with an instant coupon for $2 making them just $5.99. If this is listed in your flyer, take it to customer service and they should refund your money.

Went to Kroger in Houston last night and the batteries weren’t marked at any kind of sale price, I know why now because it’s in todays ad for this upcoming week Wed-Tues.
Instead of the listed scenario, I bought 6 $2.99 pkgs (reg $4.39) of Playtex Sport and Gentle Glide, no Catalina printed and the light was green, I even put my bags away slowly waiting longer than usual to see if it printed. Now I wish I would have just shopped as the “regular” couponer that I am and bought $25.00 worth using the sale price, not the regular price as stated here that it should work.
Has anyone else not had it print using the regular price?
I don’t see how I can call Catalina and explain to them that I was basically trying to cheat the system by using the regular price to calculate, I highly doubt I will get whatever it is they do to compensate for the Catalina not printing.

This Catalina (using the regular price) must not be working in at least a couple of Houston area Kroger stores because I asked a local blogger who is on the top of her game with couponing and she said it didn’t work for her when she tried calculating with the regular price on the razors.
Just curious if anyone in the Houston area used the regular price for calculation and got the $5.00 catalina…
I’m not going to try it again using the sales price when I go to buy the batteries today. I will have to buy 3 packs of batteries and one package of Playtex to reach $25.00 at the sales price, but for this “regular” couponer that’s a great price and just fine with me. If that $4.00 off instantly is actually instantly and not the peelie, it’s probably going to mess me up and cause the Catalina not to print. I sure don’t like when couponing gets all complicated and things seem not to be system wide. Already too much time on this one.
