Most special birthday gift was my 40th birthday. When we married he was in the service, in the 1950’s, I was in high school. He bought my engagement ring, what he could afford and paid in full. On my 40th birthday he bought me a diamond ring with five diamonds circling one diamond. And he also paid in full for this one. My birthday is September 10th. After chemo, had another “questionable lump” which turned out to be nothing, we went to Krispy Kreme, bought a box of 8, different kinds, two coffees and ate them all. That was the greatest party of my life!
