HOT LivingSocial: FREE Disney Family Fun Magazine Subscription

June 14, 2011 by Tara Kuczykowski 23 Comments

Score a FREE one-year Disney Family Fun subscription through Living Social, another group deals site similar to Groupon. I just love the cute craft ideas they share in each issue!

Follow these instructions to score this deal:

  • Register with Living Social or login.
  • Use this link to go directly to the Family Fun subscription offer.
  • Click Buy Now to purchase your subscription for $5.
  • Watch the Windows 7 video to earn a $5 Living Social credit good on your next purchase, effectively making the magazine FREE!

Limit 1 subscription per household, additional as gifts. Valid for US addresses only. New subscribers only. Please allow 8-10 weeks for first issue to arrive. One year subscription is 10 issues.

(Thanks, Eastern Shore Mom!)

The box says to watch the video AFTER you pay, and it won’t let me click anywhere in the box to start watching the video.

Unfortunately, you have to buy the deal FIRST and then you can watch the video.

I agree, it was misleading. To me, “free” means I don’t pay anything out of pocket for it. For this deal, I pay $5 (not worth it IMHO), then earn $5 to use on my next purchase.

It reminds me of when people go to CVS and pay $10 and get $12 back in ECB’s and say they made $2. No….you paid $10 and now you have $12 to use next time toward your purchase. There is a huge difference.

I’m sorry — I misread the instructions. Yes, it does appear that you have to purchase the magazine first at $5, and then you can watch the video to receive a $5 credit for a future purchase. I’ll update the post now.

When you click buy, it takes you to the screen to watch it. Then complete the order and you’re charged $5 and given a $5 credit.

It doesnt really make the magazine free cuz ur paying it out of pocket today….it makes a future purchase possibly free if you can find the magazine at the 5 dollar price!

I bought the deal (I do love that magazine) but still didn’t see any option to watch the video.

I wish I realized this before I spent the $5!

Is there a way to cancel an order with Living Social?

Yeah I just got charged $5 thinking I would get the credit then pay. Woops! That’s ok! Still like the magazine. Also, I’m not a “new” living social member and I got the credit.

Bought the deal and got the voucher the next morning. Followed the instructions on the voucher to go to bit.ly/1yrsubscribe and copied and pasted the voucher # and kept getting “We are not able to locate this coupon. Please try again.”

Sent LivingSocial an email and it’s been 2 days now and heard nothing.

I too bought two magazine subscriptions for Family Fun Magazine, from Living Social, and have not been able to enter the voucher number. Any suggestions? Very confusing and the voucher expires in less than two weeks.
