Grateful Giveaways #12: Zero Water Prize Package

May 23, 2011 by Tara Kuczykowski

Necessity is the mother of invention, ZeroWater technology was developed to solve a mother’s fatigue from dragging gallons of bottled water jugs home from the grocery store. With the only in-home filtered water system that meets the FDA’s definition of purified bottled water, ZeroWater’s patented five-stage ion-exchange filter consistently delivers the only filtered water to measure 000 parts per million of total dissolved solids.

What does this mean to the average household? Great tasting water that is good for you, with ZeroWater’s patented technology you can have water free of heavy metals (arsenic, chromium-6, benzene, lead, aluminum, chlorine, chromine, copper, perchlorate, mercury) that have dissolved into your drinking water.

Prior to receiving the ZeroWater kit, I assumed that we were doing pretty good with the filtered water from our refrigerator. Boy was I in for a surprise when I tested the water with the ZeroWater tester… My so-called filtered water actually had a higher ppm reading than the water straight from my tap! Nevertheless, ZeroWater was able to achieve a 000 ppm reading as promised, and I can actually detect the difference in taste. Of course, now I’m hesitant to use the ice cubes from our ice maker.

Our last prize pack is from the folks at ZeroWater® and is valued at $120.

Each prize pack contains:

  • ZeroWater® 23-Cup Filter Dispenser
  • 8-pack filter refill pack

Entry is simple! You just need to answer the question below by leaving a comment on this site! You can even gain up to 3 bonus entries for doing each additional item listed (just make sure that you leave one entry for each one — up to a total of 4 comments). Having good water is important. Several close calls here with tornadoes, strongest chance tomorrow night! 3 nights in a row is crazy! Plus flooding-boil order will probably soon be in effect. You never know when you might need to filter water in an emergency and tap water is not safe to drink! This would be great for me and my family.

I drink water from the tap, and so do my children. It would be great to not have to worry about what extra stuff is in the water we are drinking

Would love to win this! It is important to have clean drinking water at my house because of my son’s health issues.

Water is important because I have 4 growing children who all participate in sports, and being able to give them good, clean water in their refillable bottles everyday. We’ve been overseas to countries where clean water is very, very hard to come by, and it really makes you appreciate what we have here !

For the health reasons – unfortunatly, you never know exactly what you’re getting without some kind of filter

Having pure, clean water is important to me because with children you want to give them the best of everything – especially the water they drink. You don’t want to have to worry that what you’re giving them to drink may make them sick. We are very blessed to live in a country where we can get pure clean water.

It’s hard to know for sure if your tap water is clean, having the Zero water filter would let us know what we are drinking.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...
