Grateful Giveaways #12: Zero Water Prize Package

May 23, 2011 by Tara Kuczykowski

Necessity is the mother of invention, ZeroWater technology was developed to solve a mother’s fatigue from dragging gallons of bottled water jugs home from the grocery store. With the only in-home filtered water system that meets the FDA’s definition of purified bottled water, ZeroWater’s patented five-stage ion-exchange filter consistently delivers the only filtered water to measure 000 parts per million of total dissolved solids.

What does this mean to the average household? Great tasting water that is good for you, with ZeroWater’s patented technology you can have water free of heavy metals (arsenic, chromium-6, benzene, lead, aluminum, chlorine, chromine, copper, perchlorate, mercury) that have dissolved into your drinking water.

Prior to receiving the ZeroWater kit, I assumed that we were doing pretty good with the filtered water from our refrigerator. Boy was I in for a surprise when I tested the water with the ZeroWater tester… My so-called filtered water actually had a higher ppm reading than the water straight from my tap! Nevertheless, ZeroWater was able to achieve a 000 ppm reading as promised, and I can actually detect the difference in taste. Of course, now I’m hesitant to use the ice cubes from our ice maker.

Our last prize pack is from the folks at ZeroWater® and is valued at $120.

Each prize pack contains:

  • ZeroWater® 23-Cup Filter Dispenser
  • 8-pack filter refill pack

Entry is simple! You just need to answer the question below by leaving a comment on this site! Having pure water is so important to me because I work hard to keep my body…and my family’s bodies…healthy. I don’t like to buy bottled water because it is expensive and bad for the environment with all the wasted plastic. But I do have concerns about our tap water and even the water from our Brita filter. I would love to have the peace of mind to know that my water is healthy and safe.

I am moving to Haiti and the water there is very unclean. This would be very helpful to have a whole thing of water ready for me to do. I’m planning on boiling water, but I’m not convinced that boiling it will get everything out. If I boil it then use this, the filters will last longer. I drink a lot of water and this will be a much needed item when I move to Haiti the first of September.

We have well water with a lot of iron in it, I would love to be able to drink that water instead of buying bottled water!

We have well water and can’t drink it because “it tastes like dirt”. We are buying water and bringing it home, but I don’t like doing that because it’s not sustainable and I hate all the plastic that is involved in storing and carrying the water home. I would absolutely welcome the opportunity to have healthy clean water in my home to drink every day.

i live in Eastern Kentucky, and even though I an grateful to the coal industry for keeping the lights on and all the job in my community it worries me to consume the water. I drink and cook with bottle water as well as give it to my pets.

It’s important to me because nearly every other month our town sends out letters that our tap water was undrinkable at some point in the past, so now we rely on bottled water in our house.

We almost exclusively drink water, so it has to be as healthy as possible. And yes, carrying boxes of gallons of water is a lot of work.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
